Besides i state that you have been on the forum too long and that you have turned into an old grump without any possibility to see things from both sides because you get stuck on some word that is in a post. you guys who attack skip or others are atleast just as bad as them. I suggest you take a look at what , Larry said. and remember this. There are always more points of view than just YOURS. There are from my POV a lot people around here that are a lot worse than jerks, one of them happens to be the gentleman that alluded and right now you are doing a pretty fair impersonation of a jerk. You apparently have missed the point that I have made a couple of times. I will treat you in the manner in which I am treated, there are many users with whom I have no issue, and i am in reality very easy to deal with, opinionated...yes, and I'll not apologize for it. But you will get from me exactly what you give me, andf i will not run and hide from a fight, nor will i act like a child and decide I am going to block you or someone because of whatever reason. We have a lot oif children in this community.

Keep this in mind, if you want to discuss them with me, I welcome it and I will give you my best thoughts and I will be passionate about. If however, you wish to launch some form of personal attack or as some others do whine incessantly because they won't get their way, then you can expect that i will respond. I am making fun of Yves, I suggest you view my comments to him as political satire, politics is my life, even more so than film, he was whining and he got nibbled on. Some of you loveto play dounble standard around here by jumping all over me if I even dare to express an opinion, ot take on something or someone, all the while you completely ignore in some cases your totally unacceptable or the positively gross socially repugnent by most around here. As to why I'm bothering with it, it because I believe that it is the right thing to do. To not try and stop this would be like ignoring someone who was throwing abuse at everyone in the street. You might want to police to deal with it, but reality often doesn't see it happen. The only alternative then is to deal with it yourself or walk away in the knowledge that numerous people will have to suffer it.

Unfortunately, this forum has next to no policing, so the situation is more comparable to countries than individuals in a well regulated country. Often the stages go discussion, sanctions, and war. Evil as war is, I think it's necessary. I think that the status with Skip is at the point of war. Horrible, unpleasant, atrocities on both sides, no guarantees of success, but better than the alternative.

I don't know how anyone can do anything but condemn points 1 and 2 I raised, and I've seen many like them originate from Skip. True that he is now under enormous attack, but the depth of feeling against him I believe demonstrates the need to reign in a lot of these comments. I want there to be another way, but there isn't.

You know, forgive me for the language, but I'm sick and tired of listening to your cowpie.

"Treat you with reasonable respect adn I will treat you in like manner"? Really? History lesson, folks. The very first post I EVER made back at Intervocative was in October of (I believe) '04 or '05. It was asking some sort of question about DVD Profiler...I didn't understand something about the program. I was new, had over 300 DVDs, and was highly intrigued by a program that could catalog them and was considering buying it.

The VERY FIRST POST I ever made...had a hateful, rude, condescending reply to it from guess who?

I certainly didn't go head-hunting that day, trying to disrespect this rude man whom I'd never encountered before.

Over the years I've been a member of this community, I've seen him do it over and over and over again. I've fought with him off and on myself for three years, and been insulted quite a bit in the process. And while he can definitely be extremely helpful at times, he should've been removed, reprimanded, or SOMETHING a long, long time ago. Yet a blind eye is turned to these antics, and he is allowed to run uncontrolled over this forum.

I don't agree with having the ability to block a particular user's posts...but if I did, he would be the first one I would block.

I apologize for the rant. It's just that I've personally seen Skip drive many away from this forum, and many more have stopped contributing because they don't want to deal with his nonsense. It disgusts me, and it disgusts me that nothing is done about it.

Can't you just feel the love? 

That is one of the best ways I can think of to build a community...take a crap on anyone who walks in the door.
