Got it working.

I did as Lithurge suggested and created a new empty database.  I saved a backup first.

I then added the problem discs, which came in with images and generated thumbnails that displayed in the list. I then restored the backup using the Restore Specific Profiles option, and unchecked the two problem discs in the list (which really needs to be scalable).  After a few minutes, everything was showing with thumbnails.

Of course, it probably would have been faster if I backed up the two bad discs and then restored that to the main database, but it's done.

good to know! thanks for posting the follow-up!

I had to purchase a new computer as my old one crashed.  I did a download of my existing collection and all the profiles, cast info, etc. is there but NO images of the front & rear cover art.  What did I do wrong?  Can anyone please advise.

Thanks.  Stevedvd

I would try DVD Profiler > Tools > Options > Utilities > Clean Images Directory > follow instructions > close DVD Profiler > run Database Repair > choose Full Repair Type > follow instructions > start DVD Profiler > Online > Refresh All Images > follow instructions and then see if that resolves your issue/s.

On a similar problem I am finding a large percentage of DVDs are not being found.

These are not rare or limited versions and I can't believe they haven't been entered yet...

John Wick Chapter 1&2 (2 disc set)
John Wick 3
Rambo Last Blood

I know they aren't the biggest selling movies ever but I cant be the only person to have them

This is a/becoming a major nuisance to have!

In the interest of following the contribution rules (sometimes which I don't understand), how should the following, UPC: 767685168110, be entered for proper contribution to the master database?

(1) keep case w/ (1) UPC w/ (3) DVDs inside w/ (3) movies per DVD [some of which have NOT had separate/individual releases.

Here's the front cover --> https://www.target.com/p/hallmark-countdown-to-christmas-9-movie-collection-dvd-2022/-/A-87553964

I'm not concerned about the W10/W11 disc id issue. I use/have AnyDVD running when identyfying discs.

Thanks in advance.

Like ruben already stated, there most certainly was a US release...

UPC: 024543-025221 | http://www.invelos.com/onlinecollections/dvd/InBlue/DVD.aspx?U=024543025221

i wasnt looking for the series itself.  i own that but there were 5 made for tv movies that used episodes from the series but had special intro and exit scenes added to them but upon further research they were never released and only the abc stations that aired the tv movies had the intro and exit scenes.  i found a youtube video that has those scenes only so my hunt is over.

...But also, they cannot contribute the same profile again, this is then blocked. Which is kind of unnerving if you have to wait for details of a new profile for 2 weeks plus, in some cases. But then, there are worse problems in the world after all...

I actually consider this a good thing (not the time length). This way, I know the master DB is GOLD with the actual correct DVD disc id.  Hence, my submissions with no covers and bare minimum data!

I'm on day 8 of waiting (submitted most on 11/20) of brand new DVD's not currently in the master database.

Question/s. Other users can see (and vote) on brand new contributions like I just mentioned? Or is that only for updates?

So, I also have a copy of AnyDVD thanks to a member of this forum. If I run it and come up with the "proper" Disc ID for a movie that was already accepted and already exists in the main database with an "incorrect" Disc ID, what's the consensus on submitting the updated profile to the main database?  Especially given the last sentence of ObiKen's May 09, 2022 5:26am post 4 back from this one.

I would like to host my Online Collection on my own personal webserver in addition to the one on Invelos. Any tutorials/instructions, tips, comments, or link/s to a thread on how to do so would be appreciated.

Obviously, I need to use the Export Profile Database function, but then what?

Thanks in advance.
