Extremely disappointing, but I still give them a negative.

Hold the Ctrl key and select Refresh Online Profile List... under the Online... tab.

This just downloads the complete online profile list, you still need to Refresh Updated Profiles as usual.

This is the way to accomplish the updates and it works every time. Be patient when you do the first step.

For example "The Princess Bride" Blu-ray and DVD using AnyDVD gives you one number; Add by DVD Disc ID gives another and DiscIdCheck gives another.

Odd, when I tested, Add by Disc ID and DiscIdCheck gave the same result. You didn't have AnyDVD running, by any chance?
I added a check for that in version 1.1, but it's not in 1.0, if that's the version you used.

Welcome to the Disc Id roulette!
It reminds me a bit of the old joke - The best thing about standards is that there are so many to chose from!

I have tried it with and without AnyDVD running. I do use run as administrator, for all programs (plugins) or without for all involved. I do use HTTPJolie. I am using 1.1.

There is just no combination that gets the same DVD Disc ID in the Blu-ray parent, the DVD Disc and the UPC Disc ID together on the same page. Unless there is another scenario I haven't tried.

My brain hurts trying to figure this out. For example "The Princess Bride" Blu-ray and DVD using AnyDVD gives you one number; Add by DVD Disc ID gives another and DiscIdCheck gives another. If you try to update the Blu-ray parent to include the DVD child you cannot get the Disc ID from DiscIdCheck to match. I think I will keep using AnyDVD as long as it lasts and worry about it when it quits working.

We can all thank Microsoft for this ridiculous thing. A Disc ID should be whatever it is all the time, not one thing when using one piece of software or something else when using another.

And lastly, I wish someone could give a definitive answer as to what is correct and how to get all the pieces to fit together for parent and children.

If you have a Slysoft (Redfox) Key, I have 8.7.0.0 and can email it to whoever wants it.

If you have a valid Slysoft or Redfox key, and only want to download the software, you can do so at VideoHelp:
https://www.videohelp.com/software/AnyDVD/old-versions

Note that if you have a Slysoft key, you should download one of the 7-versions, if you have a Redfox key, you should download one of the 8-versions.

If you don't have a key, and only want AnyDVD for correcting the DVD ID when reading it in DVD Profiler, you can take GreyHulk up on his generous offer earlier in this thread:

Thanks, I took advantage of the latest myself.

If it were me, I would include him and put (rocks and mesas) in parens after the credit or you could use rocks and mesas as a divider.

AnyDVD HD 7.6.9.2 by RedFox.bz

7.6.9.2 is a pretty old version of AnyDVD. Even though it may have been released by Redfox, which was a newly formed company at the time, it still bears the legacy of Slysoft, and must be activated using a Slysoft key. I don't remember all the details, but Redfox may have honored the Slysoft registrations for a short while to allow current users some time to purchase new licenses.

Having said that, I have now installed AnyDVD 7.6.9.2 and DVD Profiler on a spare computer, and that combination works very well indeed - I get the correct DVD IDs every time.

So it's a mystery to me why it doesn't work for you. Perhaps you have some other software that conflicts with AnyDVD?

A word of caution, though. If you wish to use the plugin "Add by DVD Disc ID", you must disable AnyDVD, or else it will read incorrect IDs !!! That plugin is not compatible with AnyDVD.

I have read that AnyDVD will read the IDs correctly until it doesn't work anymore. If that's not the case is there a definitive answer as to what will...read disc IDs that is?

Ever since the server update, I haven't been able to refresh updates. Every time I hit the Refresh Updated Profiles button, all I get is the "All DVDs are up to date" response. That can't be correct. I've checked my settings, performed a database repair, no change. Any help will be appreciated.

Follow the directions GSyren (Gunnar) has given above.

I thought the same thing, but lately I have been getting updates after approval. Most of the time however, I get the "All DVD profiles are up to date."

I don't seem to be able to get TurboCLT 1.3.1 yesterday or 1.3.2 today. I get the message "File wasn't available on site".

Try refreshing your browser. F5 or Ctrl-F5.

That worked of course. You would think I would remember this from the last time, but sadly I didn't. The good news is you didn't mind telling me again.

Yes, actually it's installed now but everything I try to run says no contact with HTTPJolie.

HTTPJolie has never worked on my computer so I guess I can't use TurboCLT.

For the Blu-rays you could use BDInfo. For the DVDs I would just open them and check the audio and subtitles from the disc.
