I'm working on a profile and some of the credits are in both the opening and end credits, but now one of the writers is credited as David in the opening credits, and as Dave in the end credits. For the cast, the end credits are leading according to the rules, but for the crew this is not explicitly mentioned. I would prefer to use the crew from the opening credits.

So should I list David from the opening credits or Dave from the end credits?

I would go with the most common name per the CLT. Not listing twice.

To make it a bit harder. It's a new entry in the database so it's not possible to determine a common name yet.

My understanding is that we list the crew from the opening credits first and if they are listed again for the same role in the end credits, we do not list them a 2nd time.

Agree.

I have submitted
I Trapped the Devil 9-344256-020360

There are crew credited with producer credits in the opening but credited with associate producer in the end. I therefore added them first like the cast rules.

I would list the crew as they appear in the opening credits with additional crew from the end credits. If there is a discrepancy in how someone is credited, go with the name from the opening credits until it can be determined whether there is a common name.
