Hi,
I've been adding Blu-rays and was wondering if there is a simple way to check if I already have the DVD.
I put my discs in binders and haven't been checking for duplicates as I've added the Blu-rays.  I have separate groups of binders for the DVDs and for the Blu-rays.  I can view my collection alphabetically and look for duplicates but I'm wondering if there is a simpler way.  I have over 6000 discs.

There is a plug in called "Database Query." You are able to search for duplicate titles (and many, many other things!). However, if you use children profiles, it will pull those out too as duplicates.

Hi,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.  I suspected that "Datbase Query' could help but in the description I couldn't be sure.  After your post I checked again and clicked on Screenshots.  It shows it checking for duplicate titles.

Hi,
I apologize for the delay in responding.  I've checked both "Database Query" and "Find Double Dips" and know that both do what I want but haven't checked either thoroughly.  While checking I got a warning that my copy of Windows was not genuine accompanied with a black screen.  I've tried various things but just end up looking at a blank window or one with an unhappy smiley face.  I'm looking forward to investigating both programs.

That's certainly nothing I've added to my code.  Perhaps the .NET library does that check?  Anyway, I don't know of a way to help with that one.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.

I don't suspect either program.  I'm sure it's totally unrelated.  From what I can determine when Windows did an automatic check for updates it discovered something it didn't like and triggered the problem message.  Sorry for not making that clear.

Is it true that Mark Harrison's Database Query removes the Windows activation?

Hey bs,
If that were true I'm sure we would have heard about it long before now.

Potential malware? Can be inserted by hacking, downloading from an unauthorized source or corruption of the dll libraries used by any program.

I'm sure you have thought about running a malware / antivirus check. Also, be wary of downloading any tool from anywhere but the original author's web site. (I have seen some of my code being hosted by other sites.)
