Was trying to decide whether to put this in General or Support, going general for now.

I've been using Profiler since the Intervocative days (think my first purchase was in 2004 or 5), but for a number of reasons it has sat untouched for about 3 years.  Now that we're nearly completed our home theater build and I created dedicated shelves for my collection, it's time to get the database going again, which leaves me with a challenge.  A rough guess, I've probably added a hundred or more titles since the last time I added any to the database.  Going through the collection and trying to find each one would be a royal pain.

Is there a good way to reconcile the inventory where DVD Profiler would just add new titles?  Or would it be easier just to drop the db, start a new one and scan everything in again?  I'm not sure how much I lose with the latter option in the way of things I've added manually or the like, so I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Along the same lines, since I haven't looked in a while, have there been any updates to UPC scanning options?  I used to use a Flic scanner, which I'm not even sure if it works any more.  Are there any handy scanner apps for a phone (Android in my case) that can store a bunch and dump them into DVD Profiler, or any nice easy method to scan around 900 titles and import all at once?

Edit: Just occurred to me also that I'd really be looking to add and remove titles from inventory.  We've gotten rid of a few things over time as well.

My advice would be set up custom tags, then go through you collection and flag everything you have in the DB. Set your custom tag through these. Set aside everything not in your DB. Then, filter out the tag for the stuff you didn't have. Check through what remains and you can flag it and delete or move to a custom collection if you got rid of it. Then, add the stuff you set aside.

DJ Doena has a DVD Inventory plugin which might help you sort through which titles are already in your database and which need to be added.
