| Posted: | | | | According to this site: http://dvd-collection-software-review.toptenreviews.com, DVD Profiler is also available for Mac computers. I have a Windows licence, but I am now using only Mac computers. Where can I download the Mac version of DVD Profiler from, if available? Thank you.

But it runs fine in Windows emulators. I use Parallels on my Mac and have no issues running the program. That said, I'd very much prefer a native Mac application, but at least there are options. I also don't suspect we'll ever see a Mac version unless a third-party takes that project on. I'd love to be wrong, but that's my guess. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. I switch to VirtualBox quite some time ago and it works just as great. Advantage of VirtualBox: it's free (so you only need to prepare that Windows license). I have run bth Parallels and VMWare Fusion in the past and was satisfied with both. But seeing that I only need Windows for DVD Profiler and Microsoft Project I ended up switching to the free solution. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. I have run bth Parallels and VMWare Fusion in the past and was satisfied with both. But seeing that I only need Windows for DVD Profiler and Microsoft Project I ended up switching to the free solution. I was quite happy with Parallels. But this year they switched to a subscription model. Then to make things worse, I recently got a new Mac and found out I needed separate subscriptions for each machine. VMWare on the other hand lets you install on multiple Macs, so I went that way. But I think next time around, I might look into VirtualBox. At this point, I run Profiler on Windows and Visual Studio (development) stuff. If a Mac version was available, I might skip it altogether. I really only need Visual Studio when I work on my plug-in stuff. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Although, I came around to this idea with things like AutoCAD (for the colleagues in my office) or Office... Anyway, VirtualBox works just as fine, really. Not sure right now how easy to would be setting it up with a BootCamp partition, but beyond that I rarely have issues. They regularly release updates to keep up with development of macOS. I have linked it in the past, but here I go again: https://www.virtualbox.org/ | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |
