It seems to me that I'm doing a lot of work twice. First I vote on uploaded submissions. Then when they are released I check on them again in the "Refresh Updated DVD Profiles" dialog.
It would be really nice if I could, at that time, see how I had voted on these profiles (if at all). If I knew I have voted yes an a certain submission, then there wouldn't be any need for me to review it again when it is downloaded.
I know there are several obstacles that needs to be overcome in order for this to be practical, but when you have a really big collection, checking all updates twice becomes a major chore. Sure, I don't have to vote, but that's a rather shortsighted solution. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

If my thinking is correct, GSyren idea can't work since is Yes, No, Maybe votes does not reflect his local data. | | | Premium member since 29 August 2002 ----

As that requires downloading the profile, it could at that point download what you voted and what would be really nice, is the contribution notes for that contribution. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

That's one of the obstacles I foresaw. However, one could imaging a system with indicators like - Voted yes (to all changes on this profile) - Voted no (to all changes) - Mixed votes, or not voted on all changes - Not voted on this profile Like I said, I realize that this is probably very cumbersome to accomplish, but it's not impossible. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. If I understand the process correctly, there may have been several contributions that have been combined into one downloaded profile. You could have voted No to one or more of these and Yes to the one that happened to be last. What you would see when you voted for the last contribution would be only that single contribution, not the combined contributions. Therefore, knowing your last vote on the contribution doesn't tell you very much. Please correct me, someone, if I have misunderstood how this works. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. | Posted: March 23, 2007 12:11 PM | | | | I guess "summation of all uploads" process must be altered in order for us to be able to see the vote(s) in DVDP at all. Maybe the votes could be kept up and until the user updates a profile? Maybe with some time limit twist? Ken, if you aren't even considering this, then we "yes" sayers are humped! This still has my vote, though |
