I have my DVD profiler layout organised into thirds; the filter and nice picture list on left, details/extras/cast/crew in the middle and the cover art/video/audio/subtitle info on the right.

I recently contributed some cover scans but they got rejected because apparently the UPC/EAN didn't match, so I select the profile in the list to check/edit it again but when I select it nothing happens. In the list it highlights the selection but it does not display any details instead it just leaves the display of  the previous selection.

Anybody have else experienced this problem?
It would appear to be a bug or perhaps some form of corruption.

Sounds like you need to run a database repair.

Thanks the repair utility did the trick.
Now to see if I can sort out those submissions.

Shouldn't it disturb us that this seems to be the most common piece of advice given on this board?  (And even more so that it appears to actually be necessary?)

I think our number one feature request should be improved database stability & reliability, not more bells & whistles.

IMO its not that much a problem of data stability but that the repair tool is an undocumented feature which you will only find if you already know its there.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
