In most cases the UPC under a different UPC sticker will match up with what is in the online database.  The only times I've seen diferences in is in DVD/Blu-rays I bought that were former rentals.  Sometimes the UPCs were teh same for standard releases but were missing features and/or digital copies.  But in my experience the UPC on the cover matched up perfectly with new store bought discs.

To be honest, I'm not sure.  I think you are on the right track though, there might be a few that are throwing your number off.  I have a large collection and gave up long ago trying to get an exact number.

There is a plugin that you can download called [url=http://www.invelos.com/ExternalDownload.aspx?type=plugdl&id=16]CSVExport[/url].  Just click on the link, download it and install it.  Afterwards you can export it to CSV, which you can open in excel, by going to Tools --> Export Profile Database to CSV....  It will prompt you to what fields and what profiles you want to export.  Then choose the filename and location and then click Export and it will export it to a CSV file.

in regards to the excel. YES!!! that is exactly what i needed. just in case if i ever needed to redo my collection i can just copy and paste the UPC codes now. Whew =)

in regards to the code, for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the original UPC (on the paper) is 024543-669111. However the sticker (covering the original UPC on sleeve) is 024543-846765. The 111 is listed in the database but not the 765. I thought by just changing the UPC code it would just update the database and it would see it as the same movie but just knows that there are two codes for it.

Also in regards to the numbers. Thanks yes, there were two movies that were in a collection that i forgot to remove the "count as" for them.
