| Posted: | | | | Hi, I am getting a little tired of adding all the UK BD Releases myself. Wheter I get a title that's been out for 4 days or 14 days.. it's usually not in the Datebase... WHY NOT? All German and American and French titles are always there on release date.. so whats wrong with the UK ? I have no problem with added some now and then but I don't wanna do all the work. Latest Example: "Bunraku" still not added to the database | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

Other localities are worse, like thailand. Some localities have a big user base (US, french, german), others don't. |

| Posted: | | | | I understand your pain, Stephan. The problem is indeed that the userbase seems to be rather small. Fewer people submitting = less contributions.
Since I'm buying more and more region-free UK BD's, I've noticed also that some titles are missing. It's only a drip on a hot plate but I'm submitting everything I order and that is missing in the database.
Last week I've preordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: 3D edition > wasn't in the DB so submitted basic profiles
Today I ordered Green Lantern 3D > wasn't in DB so I submitted basic data Today I added Captain America 3D to my wishlist > wasn't in DB so I submitted basic data
I can't promise I have time to submit a lot or that I can complete every profile to the last letter, but whenever I order or preorder something and it's missing, I add it to the DB.
Hhope that helps a bit & thanks also for submitting a lot! | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies | | | Last edited: by Taro |

| Posted: | | | | Like Taro, I contribute any DVD that I actually own. Whilst I do not submit all details, I submit those details that I know will not corrupt the database. I also only submit the profiles when I physically have the item, so you will not see any pre-release data from me. I know the situation is far from ideal, but it is a user created database and we just have to rely on people submitting data. Hopefully more people will eventually use the software and submit more data. |

I have contributed a few profiles for region 2 that I bought on-line (They weren't released in the USA on DVD) No BD just regular DVD releases. And I probably have more, as I go through my storage boxes I will update missing info. Had to get a all region DVD player. I've got some Australian releases also. |

What exactly is confusing about transcribing the original credits of the DVD? A source online that does not require me having to take the DvD out. Plus im little confused how to add films to a boxset | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

I never ever buy a film on release now as the price always halves within a few months and my to watch pile is huge so never in a rush (unless a particular director/actor). | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

There is no such source so I am still not sure what is so confusing. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Well apparently when i used the DvD credits for a cast list on a DvD, and took a screenshot of the credits . It was rejected because i used a third party database Im guessing it's cause i had a link in there to IMDB as well. But i have seen other ppl use IMDB as a source before as well. I used the IMDB source as the credits where in German, to establish what the actors credited roles where. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

You should have been clear in your contribution notes that IMdB was only used to obtain the roles played by the credited actors due to the credits being written in German. Given im a noob for future reference in general cast and crew contribution terms. Should i just state my source as being the film credits on the DvD, and provide no link to any other site? Unless im disputing the phrasing of a name or birth year. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

Unless im disputing the phrasing of a name or birth year. I'd include the link with the reason just in case a voter questions where the roles were obtained from. Better safe than sorry. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

All i can see is titles i already have in my database. If the titles in the Box Set are individually packaged, i.e., with their own UPC, just add them by UPC to your collection. When you’ve added all the titles that pertain to the Box Set, edit your Box Set parent profile and go to the Box Set section. Enter the first title in the search box below and then select it to add as child to the parent. Do that with all of the titles for your Box Set. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
