I recently added "Ally McBeal: The Complete 4th season" (UPC #024543635338) to my collection.
The profile that was retrieved had 3 genres: Comedy, Drama & Romance.
I added the 'Televsion' genre locally and was asked whether I'd like to share my contribution. So I said 'yes'.
However, "Genres" was not one of the sections I could contribute.
But if I move the new genre from the 4th to the 1st position in the list, "Genres" then becomes a section I can contribute, though one of the previously defined genres ("Romance" in this case, ie the one that is now at the end) seems to get deleted.
Is this a known problem?

| | Posted: | | | | The online database of DVD profile only saves 3 genres. Everything beyond is for private use. This is stated in the contribution rules. So the behaviour you discovered is intended. |
