I've only just started collecting since last September so most of my purchases have been blu-rays. |

my online collection is exclusively Blu-Ray oriented: I cannot find the time to insert my very large collection of DVD's in it... | | | The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder (Alfred Hitchcock) |

but....
I've identified about 5 or 6 Blu Ray titles that I could be persuaded to buy. Once that number gets to about a hundred, I'll pull the trigger. |

If there's a choice I'll go for the Blu-ray, but if your interests are not just mainstream, all too often DVD is still the only option. As a result, I'm still buying both. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

Like deejay, I'm still acquiring both - though I'll take Blu if available. But this is constrained by both availability of titles on Blu and by what titles come into my shop. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | Last 12 months was %60 BD Total inventory is %10 BD - excluding pre-DVD formats While I'd rather be exclusively BR purchasing (excepting poorly authored upscales), but that's not realistic and too limiting - won't stop me form acquiring a desired title on DVD. |

| Posted: | | | | Over all (~1000): 75 % DVD 19 % Blu Ray 6 % HD DVD
Last year (~100): 3 % DVD 97 % Blu Ray
DVD is only an alternative, if there is no Blu Ray available. I think I replaced around 5-7% DVD's with HD/Blu's. |
