| Posted: | | | | There are a few hidden little features throughout the program, so to get them out, I'll update this post periodically with a little nugget. Most recent items will be at the top in the first post, and appended as a new message; feel free to comment below.
Welcome Page/Browsers 2-fer Some of you may already know that the wishlist and spotlight displays on the Welcome screen can be scrolled. Hover the mouse over them and spin the wheel to scroll through upcoming and spotlighted profiles. However, did you know you can right-click on a title to do a RottenTomatoes.com search by title for the clicked profile? It's a great sanity check when deciding what to buy!
While we're on the subject of browsers, hold CTRL when clicking a link in DVD Profiler to launch a new browser instead of using an open one.
Menus and toolbar customization The menus and toolbars are fully customizable. To change the size of the icons in the toolbar (between large and small), right click the toolbar and select Customize. Then, on the Options tab select 'Large Icons' or 'Small Icons'. While the customize window is open you can drag and drop menus and toobar buttons, add new ones, and remove ones you don't want. All these settings are saved in the layout file.
If you don't like your changes you can reset them. To reset the menus and toolbars, click Reset in that same window on the Toolbars tab, or load the menus from another layout file.
The Filters section is configurable. Are there some filter tabs you rarely use? Right-click anywhere on the tabs and uncheck the ones you want to hide. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

Very nice! Even better would be, if I could rearange (resort) the tabs. All tabs would still be easily accessible, but the most used would be on the front page. But what am I complaining. I like the direction profiler 3.0 has taken. When the online database is rebuild and the bugs of this release are fixed in a 3.0.x version, I will completely switch to the new version. Until then I will use it as a beta release and help building and improving the online database. |

| Posted: | | | | Hmmmm, could that also work for audio tracks? A few selections available in 2.5 have disappeared. If the audio tracks were configured the same way, this could be a workaround and keep good data already in the profiles. | | | Lutz |

Aspect ratio's:
Don't like the defaults, clear it out and type in your own. The little graphic display will also show you what black bars you will be expecting from your widescreen TV. (nice touch). You can type your own aspect ratio, but the image doesn't really change. The images for 2.35:1, 1.85:1, 1.78:1 and 1.66:1 are all the same. Now, if the image could show the correct aspect ratio, that would be really nice! It's possible to calculate the size of the blue image from the aspect ratio (even from the manual entries). Mmmm... maybe a feature request? |

| Posted: | | | | I really love the way to exchange all certain studios of a collection with another. Just yesterday e.g. I had all my "20th Century Fox Home Ent" replaced by the correct "20th Century Fox Home Entertainment". Thanks a lot, Ken. | | | ZZ -- Once you're grown up, all you can do is grow old. |

Thanks a lot, Ken. Can you elaborate on how to do that? | | | Greetz, Marc Castermans

Mmmm... maybe a feature request? Your's doesn't? Mine seems to do this. I've typed in 9.00:1 and it shows a narrow bar. 7.00:1 shows a little wider bar etc. (These are examples only, just to show that it works.) | | | The Other DVD Forum Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? |

| Posted: | | | | The image size is calculated based on the ratio. If it's not working it might be a localization issue. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |
