I took a short break today from work on 3.5 to enhance the Upcoming DVDs feature.

From DVD Profiler's Add DVDs window, in the Upcoming Releases tab (accessible to registered users), there's now an additional option to filter by media type: DVD, Blu-ray, or Any.

Now back to coding 3.5. *wipes sweat from brow*  We're shooting for feature freeze of the initial beta by Monday, which will mean we'll publish the initial feature list and an expected delivery timeframe.

For those to whom "feature freeze" is a new term, it describes the stage where all features are implemented and internal testing continues, with code changes for bug fixes only.  Sometimes this stage is a few days, but it takes as long as needed.

For those new to DVD Profiler Betas, we do things a bit differently around here.  Although we encourage all users to keep their Beta databases distinct from their personal database, we know that many users choose to start using the Beta as soon as possible and some use them for their live data.  They all do a backup first though, right?!?   Therefore, we strive to have all our Beta versions stable and functional.

All Betas are made available to purchasers of the program and will be downloadable from the Downloads link above when ready.

I just love Mondays
With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress.

I have always been happy enough with the 'betas'  to use as an 'Alpha'  almost' right  off the bat,,
But I do give about 48 hours to get some feedback from others on the forums on the stability and Bug report ..

Erm, the final version is more a Gamma or a Delta, not an Alpha.

Alpha & Beta versions

Thanks for educational tip..,,  I guess what I was trying to say is the Alpha of 3.1.1  or the primary or the finished edition of that series.. I thought Beta was two and primary was one and delta/gamma was 4th and fifth..  My mistake ...

Great, but what does the "Show" checkbox do?

I can find no "Show" checkbox on that tab, where do you see it?
