| Posted: | | | | Not sure if this has been requested before. Personally I think it would be nice to have an option so that when box sets are expanded the 'Set' profile is hidden and you only see the individual profiles. Any thoughts ? |

| Posted: | | | | How would you go about collapsing the set if you can't see the parent any longer? |

| Posted: | | | | A valid point - I sometimes want to see the thumbnails of the individual films in sequential order but not to see the box set they are associated with. A good example of these is the Carry on Films some of which I have as box-set collections and others I have as seperate. It might just be one of my quirks. If I am that bothered i could just remove the box set entry..... |

| Posted: | | | | The way i manage my individual box sets is, to add the box first. Then add all the movies the box contains as single movies and add them to the box, and then remove the number from the box, so that it won't mess up the number of dvds i own.
Of course, this won't work with the online collection from Invelos as it doesn't support expandable box sets, but i don't use that really, i prefer PhpMyProfiler. |

| Posted: | | | | what you can do to sort of achieve this is to set up a Tag for box set parents. You can then use the filters to "hide" the titles with that tag and viola, mission accomplished.
there are a couple of detailed posts on setting up tags, you may be able to find some with a search. If you are not familiar with tags and can't find the info I (or someone) can post a quick (or detailed) introduction to tags

| Posted: | | | | I solve this problem with tags. I have a Box Set tag. When I add a box set, I just set the tag on the parent profile. If I want to see my collection without the container part of the box set (the parent profile), I just filter out Box Sets. Then I'm left with nothing but movies. Watch out for your Sort Titles. For example, I have Akira Kurosawa: Four Samurai Classics. That set contains The Hidden Fortress, Sanjuro, Seven Samurai and Yojimbo. I've set the flag on the parent profile, but when I filter that out, the other four movies gets sorted into the rest of the collection according to their sort titles. So Yojimbo drops down to the Y part of my collection. If you don't want that behavior, you would change the Sort Title from Yojimbo to something like Akira Kurosawa: Four Samurai Classics: Yojimbo or something similar. It all depends on the behavior you're looking for. Just one of the many great uses for tags. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |
