How should cast members with multiple roles be entered?  I am seeing that most of the time, they are entered like this:
Actor Name      Role/Role/Role
That is how I started off entering multiple roles.  But I have come to one where one of the roles is a voice only role, and one of them is not.  Should I still enter them the same way, and just not select the "Voice Only" box, since the actor appears in the show?

It all depends on the situation, but I have heard of situations where it has been acceptable to list a cast member twice directly after one another if the role names are too many to fit on one line. This may work for your situation too.

Are all the roles in the credits on one line or is the same actor credited multiple different times (different lines)?

That wasn't clear from your initial post.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

Noodleboy:

The On Screen Credits will answer your question, it is all up to the filmmakers. Sometimes they will list
Actor...Role/Role/Role or even more and sometimes it will be
Actor...Role
Actor...Role

In 2.4/2.5 we could not follow the credits EXACTLY for multiple roles because we could not create miultiple listings for an actor, once he was listed...that was it. This all changed in 3.x for the better, we can still use longer data strings for those situations where the filmmakers are providing more data than we allotted room for but...<keeping fingers AND toes crossed>

I'm entering credits for the Pee-Wee's Playhouse episodes.  The particular credit I was referring to is for John Paragon.  It appears in the credits as:
John Paragon    Jambi, Pterri
His face is visible as Jambi, but the part of Pterri is played by a puppet and John provides the voice.  I've been entering it as:
John Paragon    Jambi/Pterri
and not checking the "voice only" box, since his face is visible.  I figured that was the way to go, but wanted to check what others thought.  Sounds like I made the right choice.
In this series, I have also encountered the problem that northbloke referenced, with more roles than could fit on one line.  For that issue, I created two entries in a row for the actor.

If the Credits ON Screen are

John Paragon    Jambi, Pterri

then you type

John Paragon    Jambi, Pterri

Don't use the back slash as the filmmakers did not.

I would agree with you on the voice part. Not an ideal answer on this part, but if there are not twp separate credits On Screen then...<shrugs> we don't invent one.

I would not create additional entries, but that is me as I don't think it follows the Rules to do so. I would fit as much data as I could and then hope for Ken giving us more data space.

Thanks Skip.  As I've moved on, most of the episodes are listed THIS way:
John Paragon    Jambi
                        Pterri
Haha.  They just HAVE to make it difficult!    I'll switch the first episode to use the comma, since that is what is used in the credits.  I suppose I'll leave the / for the later episodes.

Each Episode stands own its own. Including the inconsistencies.

I once ran into a Sound Guy, I presume he was the same guy, who used FIVE different variants of his name in FIVE consecutive shows.
