I think you've got the best idea there Ken - documentary series credits are highly unlikely to change compared to fiction series, so using the disc ID of the 1st disc to represent each season while using the UPC for the parent profile would seem the best we can do for now. It does seem a shame not to be able to go disc level for now, but to be honest I can't think of any info that we'd actually lose by not doing that - as all the info would be allowed on the season-level profile anyway.

Except that the Meerkat Manor sets don't have ANY UPC.  At least the ones marketed by the Discovery Channel.

Sorry about that, I misread your post. OK, in that case I would keep the disc IDs for the season-level profiles - as these are the profiles that will contain most of the relevant info.
And for now, you'll have to use a manual profile for the boxset that keeps them together. As this profile would be mostly blank, that's not as big a loss to the online database.
I can't think of any better way of doing it.

Apparently they didn't: Declined.

But now they have. 
I PMed Gerri and she replied she talked with Ken and now is going to approve that contribution: since they are multiple seasons which more clearly resemble multiple films, slashes should be used to separate them in the title.

Just for the record: the Online database has now the profile with "/" , like I said,

"24: Season One / Season Two / Season Three"

but the Contribution notes are not very easy to read, as another contribution (using the colon ":") was submitted just afer mine (with the slash "/"). At first the Screeners approved the ":" and declined the "/", but then they thought it over and finally approved the "/", overwriting the ":".
