| Posted: | | | | Question 1. One-man Studios? In the end credits, after the production company name, it reads: in association with BILL COSBY Should we credit "Bill Cosby" in Studios? Question 2. Audio Are the Third and Fourth seasons Mono or Stereo? Question 3. Credits Created by. Would you agree with OCB in this case? Question 4. No Credits "Supervising Producer": I gather there's a consensus we don'tprofile them, right? | | | -- Enry |

| Posted: | | | | I'll have to agree with Tom. There should be a credit for the "Created By," since sometimes they will only write the pilot and move on to other things or remain as a executive producer. Until that time I don't add that credit. | | | We're on a mission from God.

| Posted: | | | | I also agree with Tom on the "Created by", although OCB seems a logical place to put them at the moment (not perfect, but IMO better than nothing). | | | Berak

While I agree with all the arguments - I have posted a feature request for the addition of a "creator/created by" credit months ago - it's too important to me to just leave them out. As far as I can see, the use of OCB for "created by" credits is widely used throughout the database. Again, I agree that it's not perfect, and I keep hoping Ken will give us an appropriate credit someday, but until then I'll use OCB. |

Whilst I agree that it does seem to be the norm to add C b as OCB, I have never understood the logic. Someone with a created by credit did more than just create the characters, they created the concept of the show including location and story etc. I would say that a closer match would be an original material credit. Although I would much prefer to have the created by credit available in DVDpro. | | | Stuart |

Someone with a created by credit did more than just create the characters, they created the concept of the show including location and story etc. I would say that a closer match would be an original material credit. Although I would much prefer to have the created by credit available in DVDpro. I understand that, but I have hundreds of TV-sets, and while most episodes have credits like "created by XXX, written by YYY", quite a number of episodes have credits like: "created by XXX, story by YYY, screenplay by ZZZ". Since so many TV sets have at least one, or a few, episodes like this, I cannot use "original material by" for the creator, as that credit is already in use to cover those "story by" credits. The OCB-credit is the only one that isn't used, and so gives me the clear distinction that I want for the creator(s). Again: I realize it's not perfect, and I really hope we get a "creator" credit one day, but until then, using OCB is the best solution for me. |
