I have a question about the edition field.
When a 1 disc and a 2 disc version is available from a dvd should we use the edition field in both profiles, or only in the 2 disc version.

Imo it is only usefull in the 2 disc version.

If it doesn't say "One Disc Edition" on the front cover, then it should not be entered in the Edition field.

So would I be correct in assuming that for a front cover listing "1 Disc Version" at the top, in the knowledge that there is also a 2 Disc Special Edition in the Invelos database, using the Edition field to enter "1 Disc Version" is warranted with a view on being able to distinguish between the two?

The title in question can be found in the database with UPC 8713053008733.
The two-disc edition is in the database with UPC 8713053008467.

LOL, I must admit that is a first, but there it is big as life if that is an actual scan of the cover.

It is!

Limrick keeps insisting it should not be entered into the Edition field, but I think it should.

I can't see an improvement in inventing edition entries which are not written on the covers.

I fully agree with you, but in this case they ARE written on the covers. Check the UPCs I gave in an earlier post. Nothing was "invented" here.

If I recall correctly:
If the DVD cover has a text like "1-disc edition" then it should always be entered, regardless of other variations of the movie that may exist.

What he said.

No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Never seen one that says 1 disc edition, but the UPC you gave certainly does and therefore should be entered as such.
