This strikes me as leading ultimately to mass confusion. There is ONE primary production company for every film  and that production companies location determines where the film originates. For example, The Never-Ending Story was a German production and US distribution was handled by Warner Bros. Multiple possibilities leads to location issues, let's see Thunderball was filmed in the US, the Bahamas and England, I seem to recall a French locale as well. With that in mind, i think the best answer is the free edit field, such as we use for Edition, if the Country is not listed you can add it to the list. The checkbox with multiples thereof seems way to much of a nightmare scenario.

No, there are films which are co-productions of more than one production company. And determining the leading or primary company can be difficult or even impossible. And yes, this has nothing to do with neither distribution companies nor filming locations.
