| Posted: | | | | Q:How do I upgrade from DVD Profiler 2.5 (or earlier)?- First, create a backup file from your current DVD Profiler installation by selecting File->Backup Profile Database from DVD Profiler's main menu - Then, download and install DVD Profiler 3.0 and restore the backup file you created. That's it! Your collection will be fully copied into the "Default" database in DVD Profiler. - If necessary, you can download version 2 from intervocative.com and download your old collection first. *You must use the backup/restore feature to copy your database. Upgrading by installing over 2.5 (or earlier) is not possible.* Q:What about my premium registration key? Once you've created your Invelos account, visit the Registration page and select "Update Key". Enter your current premium registration key and we'll generate a new Unlimited DVD Profiler 3.0 key and assign it to your account. Q:What about my free registration key? DVD Profiler 3.0 does not require a free registration key. Just download, install, and run! Q:What about reports I've installed or created in DVD Profiler 2? DVD Profiler 3.0's report system is fully backwards-compatible, so just copy your reports from the old directory to the new. By default, the existing reports will be in "\Program Files\InterVocative Software\DVD Profiler\Reports". Copy them to you're "My Documents\DVD Profiler\Reports" directory. Q:What about translation files I've installed or created in DVD Profiler 2? Although many translation strings have changed, you can still use old translation files. By default, the existing translation files will be in "\Program Files\InterVocative Software\DVD Profiler\Translations". Copy them to you're "My Documents\DVD Profiler\Translations" directory. Q:What about skins I've installed or created in DVD Profiler 2? DVD Profiler 3.0 doesn't directly support HTML skins - it does much better than that. DVD Profiler 3.0's Layouts feature allows you to load and display as many HTML Windows as you like. Each one of these can contain the same content that a DVD Profiler 2 skin contained. To import existing skins, select "View->HTML Windows->Edit" from DVD Profiler's main menu. Then, select File->Import 2.x skin. Import as many as you like and view them from "View->HTML Windows" | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

| Posted: | | | | I'm afraid this does not work. As I have not been able to sign in with my old username and password, where should the new registration information come from? |

| Posted: | | | | I originally signed into this place with my old 2.4 registration number. Once I did that, then I was able to see my new one.
But IIRC, the opening screen for the new 3.0 asks if yo uhave an old number, and I think it takes you to the old site.
Other than that, Ken will have to help ya. Sorry. |

| Posted: | | | | Took me a few minutes to figure out how to login, after wondering what the heck was going on with the seeming exodus from the other forum.
I first got to this site and thought it was some sort of cruel joke, then I started smiling! Can't wait to check it out! |

| Posted: | | | | Very funny. Actually I am able to get a new registration key from the website, however, within DVD Profiler this key is refused as being invalid. Would be nice if a solution comes out. |

| Posted: | | | | Just a tip for those updating.....do a database repair using your old version before you do a backup, install of the new version and import of your old data. It will save you several miserable hours of pain. |

| Posted: | | | | In DVDProfiler 2.4, I don't entered a last name, and I have a premium key, so when I try to log in in the page we enter our registration key, I can't log in they say I must enter my last name, but I didn't enter one, so how can I update my account? |

| Posted: | | | | Problem: I entered my old premium key and the registration page here says "Type: This is an unlimited registration key", so that's okay, but I have no access to the beta forum here, so the premium status doesn't seem to relate to the forum. Any help?
EDIT: By the way, the search function DOES display posts in the beta forum, I guess that's not intended and a security hole. | | | Samsung UE55C6200, Yamaha RX-V2067, Xbox 360, PS3. | | | Last edited: by mnemo |

| Posted: | | | | baloo, trying to sign in with teh old username/password won't help, you'll need the key.
Have you tried logging into the InterVocative site and then retrieving your key from the Registration page there?
Otherwise, you may want to PM Ken Cole or Gerri Cole and provide them some related informtion. Maybe they can sort this out. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

Thank's it did work .... But I can't Download my online Collection :/ That's because it's looking in a new location, not the old IVS collection you have uploaded. You have to back-up your old collection in 2.4/2.5 then import/restore it in 3.0 | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

You have to back-up your old collection in 2.4/2.5 then import/restore it in 3.0 Glad it worked, baloo! If you don't have a backup, you could still dowload the last version you uploaded to the IVS server and then use that as a starting point... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan.
