| Posted: | | | | 20 or 30 of my dvd's personal info (purchase date, place, cost, etc) have become corrupted, showing the wrong info. I have tried repairing the database, but no luck. I have a collection of about 800, so this is not tragic, but i'm concerned that this might continue and effect more profiles...
Any help is appreciated.
Best, Ken |

| Posted: | | | | I've seen other disappearing info problems fixed by backing up the collection (File > Backup profiler database), then uninstalling and reinstalling the program, before restoring the backup file. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

Best, Ken I don't think repairing the database will help because the program doesn't know that the info is incorrect. Your only hope of restoring the proper info is to restore a previous backup in which the profiles contained the correct data. Problem with that approach is that you will lose any profiles that were entered after that backup was performed. Or you can restore them manually using your receipts if you kept them. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

No true if the data was backed up on HD,, you can just pick and choose each individual title you wish to transfer data back to.., when you back up again,, choose a different name and create a second backup.., after all titles have been confirmed then make master backup.. This is why it is so important to Backup your data n two places.. On line and on HDrive.. I backup at least twice a week.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | thanks for the quick reply guys. I actually have kept the old version (2.?) with all the data. I can get all the original info and manually fix. I am really more concerned with why this happened, so it doesn't happen again... |

Have never heard of this happening before,, could have been a bad download that scrambled.,, But if others have had this happen to their data -post here. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. I backup at least twice a week.. I usually back up daily, more often if I make any significant changes... plus a re-upload of the collection and re-sync with mobile Profiler. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I had it happen. About 10 of my profiles changed when i moved a movie from my wish list to my owned. The profiles all changed to the movie i moved over, but the original titles, and pictures stayed. All the other information changed. I never could find anything in common with the 10 or so titles that had changed profiles, it seemed like a random event. I think i even started a thread and asked about it. Was a quite a few weeks ago. |
