| Posted: | | | | I find that DVDP only recognizes about 1 in 10 discs inserted. Ideas? |

| Posted: | | | | There are several possible causes.
First of all it could be that the central Invelos database does not contain the Disc IDs for the discs you've been inserting. In my experience, quite a few profiles on the Invelos server are lacking Disc ID information, especially if they are from regions other than Region 1 and localities other than the USA. If this is the case, try to locate the DVD by EAN. If it's in the database, download the profile and then check if it contains Disc ID information.
Then there is the possibility that your DVD drive does not recognize the inserted disc to be a disc in DVD-Video format. I have encountered similar problems; sometimes it helps to start playing the film using e.g. PowerDVD and while it's playing try again.
Finally, I assume you're not trying to have DVDP recognize home-burnt DVD-ROMs or bootlegs, because that won't work.
Good luck! |

| Posted: | | | | I find that some Sony released DVD's (not many though) won't be recognized by the DVD Profiler program in either of my computer's DVD drives, but will be recognized within other programs. No clue why. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | They are purchased DVD's in the US (not copies), generally all region 1 and I have no idea why they aren't recognizing them. I will check the things mentioned. |

| Posted: | | | | Are you running some sort of region-changing software for the drive? It won't let you contribute disc IDs if you are since the software will corrupt the ID | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
