| Posted: | | | | Please help, I don't get it. Today I bought the RAMBO 'Triple Special Edition' (UPC 5050582433029) and added it to my collection. It was recognized by DVD Profiler.
Then I proceeded to add the individual films. Started with the first one: First Blood. It has no UPC number, so I tried to add the DVD using the Disc ID number. Placed it in my DVD player, and DVD Profiler didn't recognize the disc.
Was asked to contribute, so I entered all information and submitted it to the website. Only to find out that the DVD is already present in the database, with the same Disc ID (BB60EF5B53DFA641 [FIRST_BLOOD]).
So what happened? Even when I set my program preferences to region 2 and included region 4, the disc is not recognized...
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Frank | | | A smoking section in a bar is just as stupid as a peeing section in a swimmingpool |

| Posted: | | | | You did nothing wrong. There are problems with DVD Profiler recognising discs by ID - I believe it's being worked on. For now add by title instead. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | Try search for it by name and adding it that way in the meantime. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds to me like this is a rerelease of earlier editions.., Try submitting all artwork and UPC and carry the disc info and crew and cast from the previous released contributions over to your program and marry the bunch up.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. How funny, this is the exact same problem I just described in a neighboring post with "Never Been Kissed" from The Drew Barrymore Collection. I think for these new wave of multiple collections, the studios in some cases are assigning the same Disc ID but adding a little bit more descriptor: Single Release ID: 1F221770FA73249A Collection Version ID: 1F221770FA73249A [NEVERBEENKISSED_DUALASPECT] making it difficult for DVD Profiler to accept it as the same disc. This year studios are releasing loads of these great multiple sets, so I hope a fix is set for the next upgrade. I fear this is going to be coming up a lot in the near future. |

I just got back from Target and they have a whole new section with just these new Double Features that weren't there yesterday. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Thanks for the reactions everybody! Strangely enough, I also can't find the disc when I search for it by title ... Only older discs come up, but not the one with the new coverscans. Tried region 2 and region 4. Maybe the problem is related to the fact that its a region 2 AND region 4 disc? I'll just try again in a few days, Taka care, thanks again Frank | | | A smoking section in a bar is just as stupid as a peeing section in a swimmingpool |

| Posted: | | | | make sure you are not running dvd anywhere - dvd profiler will detect that and disable reading disc id. | | | Paul |
