Transferring xml document (exported dvd list) back into database format

My computer was infected by some nasty vruses recently, and I had to purge.  In my haste, I exported my collection to and xml document file.  Now after the smoke has cleared, I'm trying to put things back to normal without losing a 700+ dvd collection.  Help....Please...

Sorry, you can't import the XML back into DVDP.

There is the backup/restore functionality for saving your database, but obviously too late for you now.

Did you have a lot of local information that you wanted to keep? If not, there's a UPC import that might be able to help.

Got sidetracked on something else. (Believe it or not, not related to dvdp). The engine itself is working, just the front end kind of blows. Guess maybe I'll start it up again.

I ended up re-entering my collection by hand before I discovered CueCats.  (search eBay)
