| Posted: | | | | Do you treat a disc with one film on one side and another film on the other as a Box Set.
Have deleted the word "Flipper has this seamed to be confusing the matter i simply meant a disc that can be turn over. I know that a flipper is a disc with part a film on one side and part on the other. Flipper was obviously an unfortunate choice of word | | | Last edited: by ninehours |

| Posted: | | | | Yes... as per the rules quote below tells us to... Quote: The term "Box Set" is used to define any release that includes more than one film. The main examples are:
* Sets where each film is packaged individually, and held together in a package of some kind. * Sets where each film is on a separate disc, but not individually packaged. This includes gatefold Digipaks and 2-Disc sets in normal DVD cases. * Sets containing 2 films, one on each side of Dual-Sided DVD. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | ninehours, have you JUST started collecting DVDs. You don';t know what a flipper is? A flipper is any film that requires you to FLIP the disc in order to continue watching the movie. Egads.

Skip Now don't be getting all upity. I've been watching DVD's since I was really smoking the PC scene with my 2X DVD player and this is the first time I heard of it called a "Flipper". |

| Posted: | | | | Admittedly there aren't many, Doc But they are out there, I have a few of them, like the Original release of Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments. Personally speaking the term Flipper is self-descriptive, especially when we also have Dual-Sided Discs. Why would I have to flip a disc? Ummmmm to keep watching the movie maybe. Technically, a disc with a complete movie on each side is NOT a flipper. A flipper is one where you have to turn the disc over to FINISH the movie started on the A side. With the disappearance of discs being released as true flippers more and more people are morphing the term to mean ANY disc with data on both sides. The lexicon continues to shift despite us old-timers, as it always does. |

Skip I know exactly what a Flipper is its a dolphin OK so this is considered a Box set with child profiles for each side of the disc. | | | Last edited: by ninehours |
