| Posted: | | | | I don't know what I did to my setup, but now every time I go to a new page I get the security information messge "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display nonsecure items? Yes / No / More Info"
I never used to get this message very often. What have I done to have it start appearing and, more importantly, what can I do to make it stop appearing? Unlike some IE boxes there is no "Don't show this message again" option.
(I know, some of you will tell me I should be using some browser other than IE7.) | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

| Posted: | | | | Aha. When Ken suggested using that login address in his message about "Privacy Concerns" he didn't warn us (and I obviously didn't understand) that the Security Message box would become active.
Thanks for the info, John. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

Wouldn't it make sense to offer a secure login page? When you hit the "Sign In" button you would be directed to a secure login page, but after login you would use normal HTTP to access the site. Maybe also the "Registration" and "My Profiler" part should be (partly?) secured. But it's overkill to use HTTPS to access the rest of the site, specially the forum. |

(I know, some of you will tell me I should be using some browser other than IE7.) Well...? That's just one reason why I reinstalled IE 6 on my main PC. | | | John

What seeting do I have to change to make the message disappear? I don't have a "Don't show this message again" check box either... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | Achim, look under options/security tab. In IE7, using Custom... you can select enable, disable or prompt for "Allow Mixed Content". If I recall correctly, there is a similar setting in IE6 either on the security settings or the advanced settings. If I get a chance to look at one of the computers still using IE6, I'll post more. | | | Kevin |
