Okay, since about 3.30pm this afternoon (USA EDT) the forum seems to have developed a glitch. I open the forum web page, and I see the little "exclamation points" where there are new posts. I read all that I want to, then shut down my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.4). I then reopen the browser and come back to the forums, but the same indicators are there making it look like I've not been here before.

And if there are new posts, they are labeled as such, but never go away either.

Before I posted this, I checked both my computers, and they both do the same thing. I have signed out of Invelos, I have deleted all cookies set by the site, have clear my cache, cleared browsing history, search history, cleared everything including my calendar, and I still see the problem.

Anyone else having this happen?

Okay, now that's not funny. I post the original topic post, then I close the browser. I immediately come back, and it shows every indicator cleared.

To quote the queen "We are not amused."

Now, I note that it was exactly two hours from the time of this starting and my posting..... Hmm.

It's not a glitch, it's a feature!

Try forcing your browser to refresh by pressing CTRL-R when you see the glitch again.

Yeah. The day I go back to IE is the day I go back to dialup.

Never gonna happen.

It was at this point.... Kevin's link died - and his ISP offered him a emergency freephone dialup service until the link was repaired... eta 6 weeks

And me three. I set my Firefox to clear the cache on closing the program anyway, but I've had that problem before in both Firefox and IE.

I haven't had that problem before. It's only been since the server move. That's why I thought there was a setting fouled up.

I participate on other forums with the same type of indicators, and everything is fine on those. It's just here where (I believe) there is a problem.

It's behaviour I've seen intermittently on both the IVS & Invelos forums.  As I browse by the what's new thread, so can quickly see the latest post, I've never been overly concerned by it.

I've had the problem both ways, new post flags dissapear before I get to read them and read all posts and the new post flag is still on. Not sure what causes it, so I just go through every topic and make sure to check all with new posting dates. At least the forum drops you into a thread at the first unread post.

Thas happens to me, too.  Sometimes I get kicked off and have to sign in again.  If this happens before I've read all the posts, I don't know for sure which ones I've missed.
