| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I am registered with PayPal and wanted to buy your program, but since I haven't added a creditcard (I don't have one) I can't get any further with the payment process. Do you have an emailadress that I can use to send payment by Paypal?
Thanks so much! |

Thanks so much! Use your Checking Account if you have one instead of a credit card. That's how I pay using PayPal. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

When you see your transaction page, there should be a tab at the top called "Profile". Open that, and look for the section called "Financial Information". In there, you should see a link for "Bank Accounts" under which you can set up a checking account. | | | John

| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I did what you said, and I have indeed already a checking account set up there (did this when I registered with Paypal), however I can only use this to transfer money to paypal, or to transfer money from paypal to my checking account. I can't pay with it... |

I can't pay with it... Unless there is some sort of banking restriction in your country on that, you should be able to. But, like I said, it has to be a verified account. I would send Paypal customer service a message and ask them. | | | John

| Posted: | | | | Off the topic: Are there really checking accounts (which you can use to write real checks) still in use in Holland? I thought all Europe has moved away from such medieval inventions. In Finland there haven't been even possible to write checks for years. For example, I am 45, and never in my life I have written a check or owned a checkbook, or even have has a need to write a check. I dimly remember that father had a checkbook in 70's. but when I started to use more of my own money starting about 1980 checks were already coming extinct. |

Checkbooks are still heavily used in the US, although they process them in most places now just like a debit card. | | | John

Checks were still in common use here in Denmark up until 1995 or there about, when it got "knocked out" by the DanKort (a type of debet card developed by the danish banks - today it is usually a "2-in-1" card, DanKort and Visa card in one). Checks still exists, but is used almost exclusively by companies. I think I have seen ONE person in the last five yours who had his own personal check book... | | | The future is here. | Posted: | | | | We use cheques rather than checks here It is fairly rare to use them though, unless you want to rip someone off by writing a dud. Otherwise, they're just not needed really due to the ease of bank transfers and debit cards like Maestro, Visa Debit, etc. | | | Last edited: by Squirrelecto |

I have not seen a cheque used for the 10 years I have lived in Holland. But I do recall seeing some instructions from my bank listing what you had to write on your standard "transfer forms" (when we still had them, obviously it's all going over the internet now) to turn it into a cheque.... I guess it is still possible. | | | Regards Lars | | | Last edited: by lmoelleb |
