| Posted: | | | | I've prided myself on not being a chronic double dipper. After filtering using my tags I just found out that I've actually double dipped 18 times in the last couple years. I felt at the time of these second purchases, justified to get the extras I wanted, but I must admitt I do feel I have cheated myself a little bit with a few of these.
I'm curious what your double dips add up to? | | | Video= Sony TV / Sony DVP-NC85H (DVD) / XBox 360 (HD-DVD) / PS3 (Blu-ray) / WDTV Live Plus (Haxzored) QNap Media Server with 10 Terabytes of DVD's ripped so far. | Posted: | | | | Well, I just had to get that big, gorgeous classic collection box for 2001, I doubled on Daredevil when the director's cut came out (well worth it, a whole new plotline based on info from Frank Miller's original story.) The Truman Show for the new featurettes. Ultimate Matrix, of course. The box set of Robocop (again, new featurettes and a bit of new footage). The big Sin City with tons of features. Of course, I got rid of most of my old copies by giving away to friends. A few I kept because the original had stuff the new one didn't. So... 6 if you count box sets as one, 12 if you don't. | | | Build a man a fire and you keep him warm for a day. Set a man on fire and you keep him warm the rest of his life. |

| Posted: | | | | I am such a sucker for double dips. The one movie that I have quadruple dipped is Blackhawk down. I owned the original when it came out, later got the superbit, then the three disc set, and last the extended cut. I am a sucker for anything by Ridley Scott. I don't own all of his movies but I am working on it... | | | The artist formerly known as TylerDurden_73 |

| Posted: | | | | I've got quite a few over the time. Often because of a better version or a longer version of the movie. But i regulary I give the earlier version away to friends.
Over the years I had: Lord of the Rings Cinema Edition, SEE, CE. I still got the SEE as R2 (because of the german dubbing) and the R1 CE. The Patriot as Cinema and Extended. Gladiator Cinama and Extended. Knight's Tale Cinema and Extended. Dune in at least 4 versions. Bourne Identity Cinema, Special Edition.
More come currently not to mind but I'm sure there are more. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I've "double-dipped" over a hundred times. My current upgrade of choice is vanilla editions and swapping them for boxsets. Ebay often helps me make a profit, bless them, or I pass them onto friends.
I think of true double-dips, I have Dances With Wolves and The Exorcist, because of confusion between extras. | | | Jon "When Mister Safety Catch Is Not On, Mister Crossbow Is Not Your Friend."
