I was wondering if there was a place we could go if the forum software crashed, in an attempt to find an answer, or perhaps just to commiserate.  Now we know...

Yes! Thank you so much for the link!

Honestly, it's certainly better to be prepared ahead of time and have this BEFORE something happens!

For those that have the notion that a web site can run on "autopilot," this was an example that proves someone is watching. And someone is doing. And someone cares, to the extent allowed by the circumstances that we are likely to never know.

So, to Ken, or to whomever is acting on his behalf or in accordance with his wishes: Thank You.

Edit: Just noticed this ...

He needed to leave his cabin in the woods and drive to the city to reset the server.

He returned on 6/30 to fix it, but the last visit prior to that was 5/23.  Site was broken for about 4 days.

Well all we know is that user ID logged in. Who the actual person was, we don't or can't know. But anybody who has run a business knows that you could never turn your back on it.

It may be periodically monitored, but very little effort seems to be spent on this forum/software now a days.

True, but we don't know the reason. Obviously Ken (or someone) cares about it, or it wouldn't have stayed up for four years. I used to suspect that the reason for Ken's absence was that Invelos was involved  in some legal dispute (like the transition from Intervocative years ago), but 4 years seems a long time, so I don't know ...

I wanted to bring this thread back to life as I made my returrn to the forum yesterday and started to post again. Including a lot of my recent reviews that I have done. And the return of what had become infamous on that site and started everyone doing... my monthly Marathon Reviews.

It was once, and can be again, a great place to actually talk about the movies and TV Series we all love to collect! Plus there is place to talk about not only the movies and TV Shows... but the equipment we watch them on.

And like Karsten said... a good place to find some of us if invelos goes down again!
