Hi Lithurge, thank you for your reaction.

Omg, all what you tell here, does that mean that Invelos doesn't exist anymore? Or that they have totally stopped with dvd profiler?
For sure I hope not, for me this is almost a work of life.  My database has more than 9000 records, all with complete cast and crew, included photographs.

One thing to remember is your old phone works. You may not be able to dial out but you can still run apps on it. Also the newer phones are almost all 64bit. DVD Prolifer mobile is not, therefore it will not run on the newer phones even is you can find the *.apk file you need.

Buying physical media is so out of date.

That's what they said about vinyl.

Speak for yourself. I don't "buy" digital.  I'd much rather own a disc than wonder what went went wrong doring a download!

It was bad enough when I noticed that my DVD Profiler I paid good money for was no longer in the Google App store.

But even with an .apk file I got from an older phone, it refuses to install.  I keep getting the error message:  "App not installed as app isn't compatible with your phone".

How do I get back the app I paid for?  Is this just Google being dicks against people who don't pay their outrageous app store fees?

This is a well documented, know issue with most of the newer phones because they are running 64bit OS's.
I have yet to get a new phone, therefore haven't hit this yet.
I have seen emulators on Googlr Play. Nidea how good or how to use.
Hang in there!

Along these lines, I checked out the Google store and there were a couple emulators listed. I have no idea how good or bad. Just an FYI.

I would like a plugin or feature update to the main program allowing to add disk information from alternate sources such a IMDB or TheMovieDB when in "Add Disk by Title" For example ARQ (2016) ia not in the online database but all the information is in both IMDB and The MovieDB. When this happens [and it does all the time] I am forced to manually add titles by copy and pasting which is very tedious and provides limited information for my titles such as Runtime, year, synopsis and cover art. [I am not about to start copy/pasting cast and crew information.]

Hi!
My understanding of the whole purpose of DVD Profiler is to build a database free of the errors in the IMDB and other sources. This means a user surrorted database built from scratch, hopefully, more accurated that other online sources.
Does it take work: Yes. Can it be frustrating: Yes. Is it rewarding: YES!

I used DVDProfiler on my mobile to update my collection, then went to try and upload to online, but it fails every time. I get a "Error uploading collection. Please try again later."

Is there any way to get my collection online, or from my mobile to my computer directly?

Hi!
This forum is hardly used any more. Usually the forum for your mobile's OS would be more approriate, either Android or iOS.
As or uploading direct to online, I'm not sure you can do that.

DVD Profiler no longer scans the UPC.
Attempting to scan simply exits the scan module.

You should really post this in the Android section. The mobile section refers to OLD mobile Windows mobile phones.

I've extracted the apk from  my version

https://filetransfer.io/data-package/ifiIGrTk#link

but yes, they should post the app link on the product page or reupload and update it on the google play store

The last I checked, and this was AWHILE ago, the app was still available from the Amazon app store for someting like $2.99?.  If it's still there, any port in a storm.

Since Ken will never be available to modify the rules again, we have to operate on what makes the most logical sense.

Why would he never be able to modify the rules again? Not saying that he would, but why can't he?

I had the same thought? Not being around is not dead.

I was trying to add a title to my collection, but it doesn't exist. I found the covers for it and all the information, but it won't let me contribute the profile. It keeps telling me that the upc isn't valid. I typed in the upc directly from the back of the dvd case. I found some more pictures of the dvd online that had a upc sticker over the actual one, but that upc code doesn't work either.

Any ideas as to what I'm supposed to do ?

Try by name, just to see if the title is in the database?
