BTW: Here's an alternative support forum: http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/board,78.0.html, maybe bookmark it in light of the recent Invelos outages. | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |

Quote: I did check it out and I like it very much. But, yes there is always a but , I think with the new setting enabled CCE2 now also ignores the known names file.
Edit: Just for testing I changed Ophélie Winter to Ophelie Winter and parsed a movie with her. She was not changed to Ophelie, instead CCE2 parsed the entry Ophélie Winter credited as Ophélie Winter. She is not as a "credited as" on the movies credits.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0157262/reference/
When I put Ophelie in the known names list like this:

Then she gets the name Ophelie Winter credited as Ophélie Winter because that's how her name is spelled in the credits:

Quote: possibly more of a DVDP problem than a CCE2 problem but it's odd:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7322224/reference/ Zlatko Buric is credited as Zlatko Burić
CCE2 seems to parse that correctly but when pasting it into DVDP Burić becomes Buri_
If I enter it manually into DVDP Burić becomes Buric. I don't understand why the result is different if I paste the name from CCE2 and if I copy/paste the name directly from the imdb page.
When you use the Cast/Crew Copy&Paste plugin "Burić" also becomes "Buric" because apparantly DVDP can't handle "ć". When using the Paste function in the Edit window, DVDP seems to use an XML parser not well equipped to handle this special case.
BTW: If you have Cast/Crew Copy&Paste enabled, you can directly transfer the cast and crew to the currently selected profile by pressing CTRL-S, ut you need to enable this option both in CCE2 and CCCP (lol, i just realized that the abbreviation of Cast/Crew Copy&Paste comes down to the cyrillic letters of the old Soviet Union, in Latin alphabet SSSR: Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik) | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |

Have you tried to use Cast/Crew Copy&Paste plugin? It bypasses the paste function of the Edit Profile and uses the Profiler Plugin API. | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |

No, not at the moment. I would need to check if this is possible and how deep the rabbit hole would go. | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |

It could be an age restriction thingy. For example, I recently bought Gunpowder Milkshake which is rated 18 in Germany. When you open my list you can find it. When you open my profile, it should be there between Star Trek and Dragonball, but it's left out because Invelos doesn't want to get in any potential trouble with 'adult material'
Also, all my TV show season discs are not online because I specifically chose to exclude them from the online list in the Personalize section of the profile. | Posted: Topic Replies: 15, Topic Views: 6874 |

This one?

I just checked and I about paid the same but at least I watched them all.

Back in 2002 I was making my first real money and it was the year of the Star Trek: The Next Generation DVD release. Every season came what could be called a lunch box and cost 99-109€. Luckily if you collected the receipts of the first six seasons you'd get the seventh one for free. 2003 the same with Deep Space Nine.

And then things like the I, Robot DVD + head for 99€.

On a different note: I have multiple 3(!) different versions of the Friends complete series box set and a total of 51 seasons (3 complete series box set) of Smallville which only has 10 seasons. | Posted: Topic Replies: 21, Topic Views: 2711 |

The key I use in the cast.xml and crew.xml is always the full IMDb Id, for example nm6242759.
In the Data folder there's also a Log.html which contains all the changes to names, maybe you can track down your David Smith change there. | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |

In Settings > Parsing > People > Links there's an option to check for redirects.
Try to disable that, it sends a lot of requests to IMDb that most of the time aren't necessary.
The original idea of the feature was that sometimes more unknown actors get more than one IMDb page and when someone figures out that they're the same person, they get merged and one page points to the other. And CCE2 was trying to find these to let you know that two people might be the same. But try it without that feature. | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |

Nah, serious. In previous versions I automatically grabbed the birth years. But at some point the IMDb server shuts down with the above mentioned 503. I assume I query too many pages in too short a time. I tried to insert artificial delays but it didn't help.
Funny how this was already an issue in 2009 with a different error code. | Posted: Topic Replies: 599, Topic Views: 48792 |
