My Thoughts:
Considering all the hype and the 10 Academy Award nominations, you would have thought this would be the greatest movie in the world.  I came into this expecting a lot, and came away with more questions, about the critics.

While I did watch the entire movie, expecting something to happen, I was left disappointed. The Story line, after the first 20 minutes, was predictable.  Sandra Bullock did not capture the character. Clooney seemed a bit over cocky in his role.

Maybe, with all the hype, I was expecting too much

My Rating:

2/5

@doubledownagain...I am glad that you enjoyed the film.  Apparently there are many that would agree with you.  The film just did not do it for me.  I was actually bored through most of the film.  My wife decided to do something else, 20 minutes into the movie.  My son and his girlfriend went to watch it, and turned it off after 1/2 hour.  Just don't see all the hype....

Fair enough, not everyone is going to like the same film the same way.  I saw it with my daughters, one loved it and the other not as much.  It also was definitely one to see in the theater, on the biggest screen possible.  Glad to see Curon won the Oscar for Best Director.

With over $700M in the boxoffice, and winning 7 Oscars, i have to say that i had my expactions up a great bit. And for me it didnt dissapoint at all. What an amazing movie with some great special efects. And with two of my favorite actors playing the characters it didnt hurt. And let me just say that i think Sandra Bullock was amazing in this one! I watched the 3D version, and they did just an amazing job with the 3D. Just amazing! If you have a chance, check out the 3D version! If not, this is such a great movie that you should check it out anyways.

My Thoughts:

Sat down and watched with the kids.  While I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie, I found this movie to be a little wanting.  While I do not mind multi part movies, I would prefer them to end at a logical point.  Too me, this movie did not have an ending as much as a segue for the next movie (which I understand will be in 2 parts itself)

This movie was a 2.5 hour setup for the final book.

The visuals were excellent, and the movie followed the story fairly well, though I felt at times it was a little drawn out.

It seems like a lot of sequels are not as good as the first, and they usually make up for it in the last movie(s)

Now waiting impatiently for the next....

Wow, that was a much better movie than i expected it to be! I've had this in my unwatched pile for ages. Dont know why i havent seen it before, but now i finally did. And what a great movie it was. But i'm not sure what kind of movie it is really, is it a war movie? Is it a action\thriller? I would say something in between all that. Even with a simple story\plot, they made the most of it. With some brilliant acting by both Helen Mirren and Jessica Chastain! This movie is actually just great. Check it out when you got a chance.

My Thoughts:

I got this one out of Redbox and watched it yesterday. I been waiting to see this film since I first heard it was being made... as I enjoyed both the Sissy Spacek version as well as the Angela Bettis version. I was mostly looking forward to this one as I have recently started to become a fan of Chloë Grace Moretz. While to be completely fair... I haven't seen the other two versions in quite some time... but I thought Chloë did a fantastic job as Carrie. She could quite possibly replace Sissy Spacek as my favorite actress to portray Carrie! They kept quite a lot of the scenes the same in this film... but they changed enough to keep the film interesting. Especially towards the end. And the changes they made I liked. This is definitely a film I will be looking to add to my collection as soon as I possibly can!

My Thoughts:
Another great movie from Disney and its 'classic series' not going to say too much about the movie, but i will say that the tranfser from dvd to blu-ray was great. The picture and sound was amazing in this blu-ray set. And with Disney we ofc get the feel good story and a happy ending. And as last time i watched this, i really enjoyed it. If you dont have the bluray version, i would recommand you guys to check it out. Worth a double dip IMHO.

My Thoughts:

I decided to watch this one this evening. This is a film I haven't seen in many years! And obviously never on Blu-ray til today. This film is a romantic comedy... but at the same time much more. There is lots of fun.. and there is a bit of depression. I don't know if this is the first film that uses the whole reliving the day over and over again thing... but it is definitely the most well known. And a must see. I really enjoyed every minute of seeing this one again.

My Thoughts:
This is a bit difficult to review and rate. Its a very slow movie, with some typical Statham scenes. But again the movie is a bit different from what he use to play in, even tho his character his alot of the same old. He plays a soldier who's back home from the war, and terrible things happens to the people he loves, and he's on a revenge mission trough out the movie. You know what you get from Mr.Statham, but this wasnt his best. Not recommanded.

My Thoughts:
Well, to be honest this was a complete blindbuy, only reason i bought this was because i saw Noomi Rapace in it. And i've been a fan of her every since she played 'Lisebeth Salander' And it is a movie with a rather small story, but man did they make it work. I dont know if i would call it a erotic thriller, but something in between. And both Noomi and Rachel McAdams does two brilliant parts as two women that will stop at absolutely nothing, even murdering someone. Just a great thriller trough out. For me, this is highly recommanded actually, and they have some good extras aswell.

I saw this 10 years ago or so. And from what i remembered i really enjoyed it. So i wanted to check it out again today, and i didnt remember much from it. But wow, this is one hell of a movie really. You get a rough journey trough the eyes from a real bad and dirty cop (Denzel Washington) and a rookie who's got problems with how Mr.Washington is taking the law in his own hands. And it is one hell of a ride. And Denzel Washington puts on a amazing performance as the dirty cop. This is one of the better 'gangster/gang' movies i've seen. And its worth the money from Denzel Washington performance alone IMHO. Its a must have.
