Yes, the ID is 111111.2 and that's what webgen considers its "upc" to be. That's why it generated a 111111.2.php title page and looks for 111111.2[f|b].jpg cover art. Your DVD Profiler "database" should have cover art images with those names. If it doesn't, it makes me wonder if even DVD Profiler can "see" any cover art for that title.

Don't know why it didn't work the first time around, when I saw the issue I just dumped the image files on the ftp and it was fine after that.

No worries

It seems that with each new update, thumbnail images that were previously present, disappear for no apparent reason. The .php page is ok as well as the large images...just no thumbnails .

It's only 13 thumbnails out of 2,837 profiles...so no biggy.

Well, my tool doesn't ever delete from your webserver. It's an add/overwrite process only. If you have thumbnail JPGs disappearing from your server's pics directory, that's something with your server or browser. And it uses the same function to show thumbs as it does the bigger covers, so it's not a code bug if you can see one.

Or perhaps there's a file limit in a directory on your server? You do have 5674 total images (f+b). I think Windows file system, at least the old FAT32, has a file limit. If that really is the case, maybe I could create a new folder scheme where images go into subfolder based on the first digit in the JPG file name.

A FAT32 directory can hold a max of 65,536 directory entries but note that long file names can eat up 2-13 entries based on the length.

Since the file names seem to only take up 3 entries max, that still gives 8ball room for 21,845 files.

I do know that really large directories do introduce a performance hit so it may be a good idea to use the subdirectory idea based on the first character of the file name. Note that you can over-do this, don't go more than two levels.

Just check my web server and all 13 of the thumbnail images that aren't displaying are right where they're supposed to be.

When I was surfing through your collection, there was a few that didn't display the thumbnail right away. The first one was for pics/043396107120f.jpg and when I viewed the image directly after copy-n-pasting the source html, it displayed. When I went back, the image was displayed. I continued to navigate through and when it happened again, I waited and after 5-15 seconds, the image displayed.

I noticed that behavior on a few thumbnails myself but the 13 I'm referring to just don't display...at all.

Just a wonder, question. Can I just export new profiles, or does it have to be the entire bit.

As I recall what you mentioned how it process and updates it seems that a xml file with just new profiles should work. Just want to make sure.

Thanks

I checked my online collection when I got home from work and those same 13 thumbnails were not displaying. I got 2 new titles today and added them to DVD Profiler, exported my collection and did a webgen update. All thumbnails are back again . No idea what could have caused it.

Welp in tinkering tonight, you can't just do the new profiles, it pooches up the main display

Simple fix just reselect and export and generate the new php files as the thumbs and covers were already uploaded w/ matching php files.

So, no being lazy :D

You should always export your entire XML collection. Webgen will only generate and upload the new titles. If you export a smaller set of your titles, webgen will think you have a smaller collection, updating your count and sort and all accordingly. It can't properly set up the data files if your XML doesn't represent your full collection.

No matter how many times I try, I can't get my collection online to sort by Collection Number. I must be doing something wrong but can't figure it out .
