I have tried the copy procedure and everything now works except I didn't get any covers.  Is there some way to bring the covers across?

Thanks .. app is looking good.  the only 'problems' i can see is that the covers didn't come across AND it is on the phones internal memory.  Really need a way to get this to the secondary device if available.

Really nice to get the info to the phone.  Much better than just an excel spreadsheed of names ..

Thanks again

Along with selecting All or Flagged .. there should be a way to limit to 'owned' collection.

Thanks

Hi.
I'm not sure how you got the app on the main menu. It's default is supposed to be external (micro SD ?) to the best of my knowledge. Simple question: were you in disk mode (drive mode?) when you installed the apk?  That way It would have seen your flash memory as a drive.
This also may be the reason the covers aren't transferring.

As for using "use abd", if you get to work, you would be one of the first. That is no joke.
Most of us put the phone in drive mode, connect the phone (you should see two (2) removable drives), find the one with the dvdp directory structure and dvd_p is her. *THAT'S* your path.
Now export.

If none of the above works, pull the SD card and put in a reader on your PC. Copy the dvdp folder to the SD card, sub-folders and all contents. Point the plug-in to the sub-directory for dvdp_is_here. Run transfer process. Reinsert SD card into phone. Everything should work fine now.

Let us know how your coming along!

Simply press Ctrl+a to flag the whole Owned beforehand. Shift+Ctrl+u afterwards to unflag all.

Or, if you want to go really bananas, use a something like this.

I was able to successfully load the program on my new Kindle Fire HD 8.9 but when I switch to "cover view" the app crashes. I don't know if this is because of the size of my collection (1200+ profiles) or if there is something else causing it to crash.  I might try to start with a fresh install and see if that resolves the problem.

Hello

I have a problem with the plugin. I choose "No device (manual copy)" because I use a Kindle Fire HD, but everytime I start the export, after a few seconds I get an error message ( Unzulässiges OleAut-Datum ) and thats it. I get this message even I´m trying to export only one movie.

Can someone help me?

Greetings!

Well there are a few things.

First did you pick an output directory for the files ? I built a folder with the proper files for my tablet. Then I copy the files over after the fact.

How are you selecting 1 profile ? Just flagging 1 and selecting flagged profiles ?

Screen shots help a lot

Today I have done some more test with the export plugin and I had sucsess with some selected movie profiles.

@Robert: Yes I flagged some differnt movie profiles - choose "Only flagged dvds" - and exported it to a folder copied of my Kindle on my HDD

So, with some profiles the plugin works correct, but with some other profiles I get the same error: "Unzulässiges OleAut-Datum" (in english "not a legal OleAut-Date").

What meens "not a legal OleAut-Date"?

I checked the movie profiles that cause the error, but I can´t see a great differnce to a movie profile the works correct in export.

Anybody else with this problem?

I use the DVD Profiler version 3.8.2 bulid 1542 in german translation.

Roland

The application is running on my HTC Desire HD. I am missing one importend thing, the reason that i installed the program in the first place.
Is there an option to see the disc information (the location of the disc) in the android app?
I can not find it in. Now i still not know where the disc is located. Can someone help me with this issue?
I now put the extra information under "overview" but that is double the work when i add a new movie in the database.

Hello all,

The alpha test is done, and I'm launching the application in public beta now. I call it still beta, because there may be problems with the plugin install and in compatibilites on the android devices.
Change Log :

  • New version Sept. 3rd 2012

  • 1.changed time limit to 2013/09/01
    2.Some layout changes

Is there an update coming soon?
    Other than the cover bug..
I would like to see.. on export have the option to view box sets as a single item.
Being able to export only NEW disc's or a date added range.

"Is there an option to see the disc information (the location of the disc) in the android app?"
The disc information is under the personal information from dvd profiler. Can this information be synced to the android app?

Sorry that i asked this again, but i have waited so long for an app like this and now i cannot find this feature?

I didn't found this information in DroidDVDP nor in MyLoD, so the answer unfortunately seems to be: No.

My work around was to add my location to the feature list under other feature this gets exported.
Not a perfect solution but it gives me the information I need on my phone and galaxy Tablet.

I'm happy someone is doing this!  I'm looking to put this app on my ASUS TF300T Tablet.

I side loaded the .apk file, and installed the export pluggin.

I then tried to read thru 3 pages of posts.

My tablet is not rooted and I also could not get the ADB to work.  Internal memory is SDcard0, external is SDcard1, but the root were the apk file installed is not on either of these two logical drives.  I use a file explorer program and found the path for the .db file generated by the pluggin.  I played with it for a few tries to see were it needed to be, and then started the dvdp program.

It all seems to work, but no covers.

Did I miss a work around for this?

Ona side note, as a registered user for MANY years, all I have to say is: Really?  Come on Invelos, It's been at least 5 years and no official Android version? You are leaving a huge gap for other programs like My Movies to take your share of the Android OS money to be had for this.  The only reason I'm sticking it out is because I really don't feel like inputting my entire library agian.

I'm not a power user, so for me to be able to see what I own and basic inforamation (covers are a must) is all I need on the road. DVD Profiler is sucha better app.  If the developer of this program for the android operating system gets this perfected, I'd be happy to donate to him for his efforts.
