OK as it was kinda eating at me for some reason I went and started adding cast to the Planetes Series.

and shocking Vol 2 ( ep 6-10 ) monkey boy is credited as Steve Blum. I am sure I will be adding to this as I am going to try to get all 6 discs done before I goto bed.

Yes, i've got the two versions.
The series began with the four-part original video animation Armitage III and spawned two movies. The first film is a shortened version of the OVA entitled Armitage III: Poly-Matrix (?????·?·??? POLY-MATRIX), redubbed in English and it is presented like a remake. The second movie, Armitage: Dual-Matrix (?????·?·??? DUAL-MATRIX) is a sequel set some years after the original story.

Afro Samurai =

Note this is a new variant, no T in Steven. Probably an error, but it's how he's credited as you can see. Also weird Sam Jackson has a period after the L., but Seven doesn't have one after the J.

This is one of the things that drive me a bit batty is the L. and L being considered different.

One that comes up a lot is CCH Pounder vs C.C.H. Pounder

Just wondering dont most of the VO actors also have to be in a guild or union or something ? Like the Screen Actors Guild ?

If that would be the case I would think you would use the name they have registered with the proper guild for the common name reguardless what is used more ?

Just a thought

Not, not everyone is in a guild. Steve has done guild and non-guild work - hence the aliases. Even those in the guild aren't credited the same way everywhere.

We use the most often credited as name for the common name to reduce the amount of work needed to change the rest of their profiles to "Common Name [Credited As Name]"

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes! The Complete Second Season: Steve Blum
Lilo & Stitch: Steven Jay Blum

Just recently did an update for Lilo & Stitch 2, and unless he's credited under a different name than those listed here, he's not there.
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

If I ever meet the dude at a con I may have to give him a few damn wackes to the shins for this naming nonsense.

My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!
