| Posted: | | | | Sorry for that Question, until today i used an older Version of Cast/Crew Edit 2 and parsing the Actor was very fast and working well. But today i installed the most current version and the parsing tooks after 15 min. i think around 20-25%. Where is my problem between the versions. Is there any what i can do to improve the parsind speed like in my old Version 2.0.2.3. |

| Posted: | | | | There was a new check introduced to see if an actor has switched or merged their IMDb Ids. That makes parsing a bit slower. However, you can disable that feature in Settings > Parsing > People > Links | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Now I have a performance issue as well. I've started to use CCE2 while tethering (use my phone as a router). About 1/4 of the time CCE2 hangs as soon as I press the scan button. After a few minutes Win10 lets me restore the windows and CCE2 gives this error: "Von der Übertragungsverbindung können keine Daten gelesen werden. Eine bestehende Verbindung wurde softwaregesteuert durch den Hostcomputer abgebrochen." A new try usually starts the parsing but I get many timeout errors halfway through. Any idea if this might be a CCE2 problem or more of a general tethering issue? I'm quite surprised it isn't working well because I can play online games like Diablo 3 without major problems. Edit: Seems Like it might have been an IMDB or ISP problem. For the last hour right after I've posted it is suddenly working great | | | Last edited: by Corma |

| Posted: | | | | Is it intentional that CCE2 'only' scans for the first 999 Episodes of a season? And is there a way around it other than scanning the 1000+ episodes as a movie? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0806910/reference all my recordings are 1000+ | | | Last edited: by Corma |

Because the IMDb guys actually put a thousands separator (Tausendertrennzeichen) in there: Quote: <meta itemprop="episodeNumber" content="1,000"/> and my code did not see this coming. I'll try to fix it this evening. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

For now I guess it's better for me to just add a few dividers before copy & paste than you making a new version and everyone else installing it just for this little oddity. |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, while this plugin lets you retrieve uncredited cast, there doesn't seem to be a way to retrieve uncredited crew (such as in this movie). Did I miss the feature, or will it be added? Thanks and a happy new year. |

| Posted: | | | | Uncredited crew was never added because DVD Profiler does not support uncredited crew. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I have encountered two other small problems while parsing my TV recordings. It's all kinda working so no need for a fix. I just want to let you know in case you make a new release in the future anyway:
CCE2 can't handle unknown seasons. Maybe also no unknown episodes but I don't find an unknown episode not also being in an unknown season.
If a (Mini) Series is parsed from the front page (like a movie) CCE2 still fills the role field with some HTML gibberish. Using the front page in some cases is necessary because the episodes might be empty and cast & crew are only listed up front.
Here is an example that has it all: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1642620/ | | | Last edited: by Corma |

| Posted: | | | | I have a question.
When doing Get Headshots and if I paste the cast or crew into the profile, does it overwrite existing headshots I already have in my local database or does it keep existing headshots intact? |

If you do "Get Headshots" it will compare the existing file with the one from IMDb and if they are different will get the new one and overwrite the existing one. There is no setting yet to prevent this. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Quoting CubbyUps: Quote: So Locking the local headshot will protect them from being overwritten, correct? The lock only works on the image inside the DVD Profiler database. It is stored as a stream of bytes. I'm not using that. I'm using the secondary option, to store the image on your hard drive. When you go to Tools -> Options -> File Folders -> Credit Photos, that's where you find this folder. I do not overwrite the image in the database. However, the lock feature does not protect the image on the hard drive. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Is anyone else having issues at the moment with Cast/Crew Edit 2? Once I perform a search for something and attempt to scan the given page it fails. Getting the below.
"Incorrect URL! URL is incorrect! Please use an URL of the form http://www.imdb.com/titles/tt0000000/."
I used the application quite a bit earlier today. No issues earlier. Something going on with IMDB.com perhaps? Thanks in advance. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |
