Missing covers locally or in the Invelos onlinelist? The latter does not use your covers but the ones from the contributed profile. So no contributed profile, no cover. Locally it is a matter of locking. For my 'Streaming' category I use the best fitting BD-profile available and lock down everything. Never lost a cover. (I modify the ratio to a fix 500x600 for aesthetics) [1] And yeah, Netflix movies that do not have any DVD/BD release are a pain for me, so I just look for a nice cover, get cast&crew from IMDB with CastCrewEdit2 by DJDoena (Thanks!) and be done with it. It is a list just to see when I did watch certain movies respectively movie I want to see in the future so no need to go overbord. This will create a profile that is not connected to the Invelos central database and won't accidentally update/overwrite any data you might have (including your front covers) Ah, thank you. I never noticed that option in all the time I've used the software! Quoting Mithi: Quote: Quoting nero041001:

[1] To watch-list and recently seen done witch XSLtransformation of the XML-export. For physical, I usually scan with my phone then upload the changes.. then download them on desktop. For iTunes, I've been using the closest blu ray releases, but not all are released on disc either in HD or at all. I like to have the media information of what I have and what format. When creating a custom profile, that I won't be contributing as DVD Profiler doesn't support online platforms, maybe it's not uploading and then downloading onto my phone. Well the title is, but no artwork. Then when I do it vice versa, it's probably wiping the local image file? Honestly, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong and where. | Posted: | | | | Oh my head. It's a nightmare, I just can't seem to figure it out. Even adding my iTunes movies I can't get the covers to stick and upload/download from/to pc/mobile. I think I'm just going to need to switch for a while until discs are obsolete and use a database software which just scrapes from the likes of tvdb/tmdb. Thank you for the help anyway guys.. ..of course if I find the new software too bad, I'll just go back to basics with an Excel file Edit: Just don't like the other software. Just trying to figure out how to add multiple films by title only to DVD Profiler. Shame I just can't add films all in a .txt doc to the collection as I've already got that copied and pasted from my itunes list. | | | Last edited: by nero041001 |

Even those scrapers you talk about, rely on the structure of data within a file. We have: - "Add multiple" - DVD Profiler will create profiles corresponding to a list of UPCs (actually profile IDs) in a text file, one per line. - BulkEdit CSV import: you can create profiles based on a CSV text file. If the text file, does not have a header, you can select "custom" and specify the correspondence between your data columns and DVD Profiler fields. If you don't have UPCs in your file, then BulkEdit will create manual profiles for you. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Where is this? Maybe it's not being used because no one can find it. |

If you are talking about custom role fields, I use them all the time. and if you are talking about manual IDs, I use those as well. Otherwise, please point us to them. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

Plugins supporting custom fields and custom profile IDs: DJDoenaEnhanced Notes Enhanced Purchase Info Enhanced Titles DigitalDownloadInfo mediadoggBulkEdit - create custom profile IDs, bulk edit, load XML that includes them and display XML. SideCar - create custom fields (not used a lot so far, so I recommend using a new database for awhile). This plugin will display fields created by other plugins, but to edit them, you must use the plugin that created them. Also, for some usage tips, see here, here and here. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | I add iTunes HD downloads to DVD Profiler all the time. I use the Disc ID when adding them. Well, after I break the given file out of the Apple ecosystem and re-author to Blu-ray. The custom Media Type I use is called "iTunes on Blu-ray". The image I use for the Media Type is shown below. For the front/back cover images I just use the DVD cover art. (My "iTunes on Blu-ray" profiles can be viewed online for those interested. I use the iTunes icon there as well. Link action below in my forum signature. Search by Media Type if you'd like to view just those profiles.)I own a couple SD Blu-ray's as well, retail releases in addition to DVD content I've re-authored to Blu-ray. Created a custom Media Type for those also. The image I'm using for that Media Type is shown below. (Online my "SD Blu-ray" titles are called out by a Green dot. Blu-ray's show a Blue dot. DVD's show a Grey dot. For UHD Blu-ray's I'll be using a Black dot though I haven't started collecting those yet.)As for iTunes HD offerings, I only purchase titles that haven't made it to Blu-ray yet and only since I have a way to slap the given title (lossless) on a Blu-ray disc. Not the least bit interested in purchasing content that's locked into some online provider's ecosystem. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | I use a custom Media Type for all my digital movie and TV series purchases from VUDU.com. I download one of the DVD profiles and customize it to suit my digital only needs, along with the image below. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
