OK so this is considered a Box set with child profiles for each side of the disc. Is what? A flipper? No. A disc containing 2 films, one on each side? That was answered in the first response. |

Skip Relax, it is not actually a Flipper, so it is a Box Set (two different movies on each side). | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) | | | Last edited: by nuoyaxin |

Quote: ninehours, have you JUST started collecting DVDs. You don';t know what a flipper is? A flipper is any film that requires you to FLIP the disc in order to continue watching the movie. Egads.
Skip
I know exactly what a Flipper is its a dolphin OK so this is considered a Box set with child profiles for each side of the disc. Yes, its a box set. But, Flipper is a porpoise, a warm-blooded marine mammal. A dolphin is fish and is cold-blooded. | | | John

I know they call it a dolphin but it isn't a dolphin. A dolphin is a fish. Sorry, but no. There are nearly 40 species of dolphins in the world...the largest being the Orca (Orcinus orca). To be precise, the term Dolphin refers to any member of the families Delphinidae (oceanic dolphins) and Platanistoidea (river dolphins). While they are closely related to whales and porpoises, they are not the same species. People often confuse Dolphins with Dolphinfish (coryphaenidae) which, I believe, you are doing now. While I did copy most of this from the web, marine biology, especially marine mamals, has always been an area of interest for me so it was information I already knew. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. A Dolphin is also an American Football player from Miami I thought a flipper was the small button-operated bat in a pinball machine that is used to keep the ball in play! As far as the Miami Dolphins, as a Buffalo Bills fan, I must say “squish the fish”! |
