you had the separate one first, and now you got the boxset (makes more sense anyways...)

In fact, it was the other way around, but that doesn't matter much .
Point is, with 3.0 I am in the process of tidying up my database. The boxset was only in the database with the boxset profile, not with the included individual disk/movie profiles so I was adding those. That's when the duplicate popped up (I didn't even realize we had it twice ).

steps

Quote:

1) leave the separate one as it is
2) add the new one by disc id (un-check "Download from Invelos")

I don't know if that will work, for the simple reason that the disc id is already in my database... As RossRoy last mentioned, I could leave off the UPC in one profile and the Disk Id in the other one. But then I won't be able to update from online for neither of the two.

In any case, always having updated info from the online database is worth more to me than having my local database right, so I guess I'll just have to drop one of the two...

Actually, the UPC one would still be updated. Removing the Disc-ID from the disc section will not prevent you from updating.

You may not be able to update the profile made with the Disc-ID though.

Or, you could circumvent the whole thing and create a tag called "I've got two copies of this" and assign it to the single UPC profile

I've got several films where the same disc is used for a single release (with a UPC) and also in a boxset.
If you insist upon adding all your discs by inserting them in the drive then you aren't going to get anywhere, that is where the conflict arises - not because they both share the same disc id.

Add the disc from the boxset by the disc id method.
Then add the single release by 'add by upc/ean' method.

That should serve you fine.

stop. think. read everything again. think again

that's all I can say about this. Do as I told you (just TRY, don't comment on the outcome before you even tried, if you don't trust me, backup first) and you will have correct profiles, correct ordering exactly as you want it AND profiles that get updated
