| Posted: | | | | I do not think we need any standard for the size. I always try to look for images with as much pixels as possible. When the image is pasted from clipboard into DVDP, it will automatically be downsized to 300x400 pixels. If the original size is smaller, then nothing is done.
Many times I also paste the image first in MS Paint, select the area around the face and copy it back to clipboard and then paste it into DVDP. No need to count the pixels. |

I was just wondering whether there is an official standard for headshot size? Having previously used HeadsImport, it suggested 100x133 was the size preferred by DVD Profiler itself, so I've been sticking to that when adding my own, but some of those in the headshot master database are larger. 100x133 does compromise the detail a little so if there is no set standard, what size do people tend to use?
jykke has mentioned that dvd profiler already resizes to 300x400 and I know that when I'm pasting in a image I always use the highest quality I can find - 700-800 at least - since I know it gets resized down. Not sure why you thought 100x133 was the preferred size - I know there is a window for the headshot - but this can be resized to anything you want within dvd profiler. | | | Paul |

The 100x133 resolution was mentioned in the documentation for HeadsImport (the tool I used before the headshot master database) as DVD Profiler's preferred size and a lot of the collections I'd previously imported were also around that size, so I stuck to it as a rule of thumb when making my own. Now I'll just work with the original images which is much more acceptable. Thanks to both of you for the information. Regards, Ade |

| Posted: | | | | Don't know if there is a better way to report discrepancies in the headshot database (is there?) so i'll do it here for now.
Cast: Picture for Josef Somer is not him. Don't kow who it is but it ain't him.
Crew: Picture for Enya is not Enya. Very pretty woman but not Enya.
Name: Robert Grieve, Picture: Bob Hope (a low res version of Hope's Cast picture)
Hope this helps. These pictures are a nice add on to DVD Profiler. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Regards,
Ade I don't know of any standard. But I feel OK with sizes around 200x150 and I feel really good with sizes larger than 300*200 pixels. I don't think we should be too greedy at this point... Regards, AA | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) |

| Posted: | | | | I try it. Its very simple to install and to use. This is a great add-on for DVDP Big THX to all that made this possible |

Instead of using MS Paint to crop images, I personnaly use Printkey 5.10, a free tool that replaces the common "Print Screen" keyboard button. This software is intended to print screenshots (on a printer) but there's a nifty function, Rectangle, which lets you copy only a portion of the screen (very useful for IMDb captures). Combined with the Auto copy to clipboard option enabled and a good hotkey set to activate the rectangle option, this software saves a LOT of time. |

Regards, AA In this case, I think bigger is always better, especially if you intend to share your personal collection of screenshots to everyone. Many users (like me) have big screens or a dual monitor setting (or both). Having the best headshot resolution available is very important. | | | Last edited: by Sebastien |

| Posted: | | | | Hi to All,
A while back we talked about the cleavage head shots.....
Well I screwed up my profiler today and lost all of the head shots.... backup, restoring, deleting hard disc stuff and not really watching what I was doing...... I know, I am a moron.
I restored the current head shot DB version 2 and was wondering if one of you cleavage head shot collectors might share that cast DB with me??? | | | Premium member since 29 August 2002 ----

| Posted: | | | | I can't attest to the quality/legality of the pictures but this site seems to have a ton of child actors.
