| Posted: | | | | I just though this would be a interesting companion to the "What DVDs have you bought this week?" thread. I cull my collection every few months, and or sell/giveaway DVDs that I do not watch much, and even have some I never opened.
So to start this thread off.
I sold: South Park Complete Seasons #1-9.
I gave away an extra copy of the Superman: Doomsday to the guy who mows my lawn as a tip for his little boy.

| Posted: | | | | I guess this means we need to remove the Trading Post section form the boards as no one but me ever trades or gets rid of DVDs.

Bobb Hey, you've had six people out of about 500.000 saying that they don't sell their stuff. That leaves 499.994 who might sell dupes, missbuys, unlucky presents, etc.. So no need to close down a section or a thread. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

You'd think after being online since 1982,(Oh for the days of 100 baud modems hooked up to my Vic-20)), I'd remember that opinions expressed online usually hold no connection with reality. Thanks for the reality check! Bobb | | | Do Cheshire Cats drink evaporated milk? |

It would be a sin to trade or sell I just looked up the commandments in my Torah which lists all the laws not just the top ten. And I did find one pertaining to this thread, " And G-d commanded Moses, " And you shall not remove any record of those recordings that give you pleasure, less your numbers diminish and you suffer a loss of esteem from your fellow tribe members." So I guess I have sinned, and can only ask forgiveness for my sins. Bobb | | | Do Cheshire Cats drink evaporated milk? |

| Posted: | | | | I'll own up to being a DVD trader. :D I work at a shop that buys/sells/trades DVDs, so I'm actually always on the lookout for upgrades.
I recently swapped my one-disc copy of 2001 for the 2-disc special edition, as well as my copy of Edward Scissorhands for a triple feature with it, Benny & Joon, and From Hell. I also picked up the boxed set of Mirage of Blaze, so I ditched my copies of vol. 1 & 2 of the series.
In general, I will swap out any single disc edition for a two-disc or special edition, since anything that's worth owning is worth owning the special edition, and the few films I own that are full screen but should be widescreen will always be swapped out when the widescreen shows up. There's too little space in my house to keep duplicates.
The only exception is My Neighbor Totoro, since I like the older dub better (and some of my friends refuse to watch subs). | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

I mean, come on, who in their right mind would trade their 2-Disc Special Edition for a single disc version? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
