| Posted: | | | | I was thinking on the database page where you vote... it would be a good thing to be able to check off a list of contributions and be able to vote neutral for whatever reason you may not want to vote on a list of contributions.
I recently came up with a case where there was several contributions on a single page that were all on my wishlist. Since unless it is completely obvious I do not like to vote on items from my wishlist... it would be cool to check off all those items with the ability to vote neutral to them.
I personally don't see a need for a yes or no vote button on these pages as to vote yes or no you need to at the very least look at each contribution... but if you know you are going to vote neutral I think it could be very handy.
Any thoughts? | | | Pete |

I went through the same experience recently, so I agree with your request. I woud also like something to remind me if the profile is in my Owned Collection or in my Wishlist or Ordered. Besides, as an option, the possibility to not show at all the profiles that are in my Wishlist or Ordered. | | | -- Enry |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with you, Pete, and with the addition Wiki made for some sort of indicator whether the title is one I own or only wish for. I don't always remember whether a film is one I own or if it's on my wishlist. If I knew ahead of time -- and could select mulitple titles for "neutral votes" it'd make my life a lot easier.
Many of the titles on my Wishlist are TV series, so when someone contributes a parent and 6 or 7 child profiles, it gives a lot of things to vote on. Maybe there would be some way to opt to ignore child contributions from the parent profile? Don't get me wrong, I like having the child profiles and usually use them even for titles on my wishlist, it just gets a little busy when I get a half dozen child profiles to vote yea or nay about cast/crew credits when I don't have the DVDs to check against. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? | Posted: | | | | While I agree that a checkbox to exclude wishlist profiles would be good... and would cut it down quite a bit. I do see reason to have the ability on all profiles. Like for example I don't like to vote on crew only submissions since it is not something I know enough about or care enough about. Then there is stuff like when new fields are added to profiler and we don't want to deal with all the single field updates such as when the CoO was first added. This way we can take a quick peek at the notes and then check them off if we wish. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I am simply ignoring the vote page for the next few days. Too many DistributorWhatever contributions.
I am just hoping this will not result in any bad data slipping thorugh but I just don't have the time to check for hundreds of profile contributions in one week. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Quoting surfeur51: Quote: Hundreds ??? Obviously since there aren't that many French users contributing there won't be very many new contributions to vote on. Sorry, I couldn't resist. But I can attest to the numbers of R1 contributions. Every time I click on database I get at least 3 titles that weren't there before. And I check several times daily. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. Sorry, I couldn't resist. That's me who couldn't resist. I read somewhere that some people doubted about the fact that there is a problem with french contributions (and I have no data, but I would like to have informations about the situation in Spain, Italy, Brazil, Argentina...) | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | For me, with mostly UK and US DVDs, the situation is just like it was a few weeks before the beta. I had quite a few contributions to vote on just after the system opened up for contributions for v3.5 but it seems to have slowed down a lot now.
But I agree, an easy way to vote neutral would be nice. That way we might get rid of some of the sleepwalking voters that vote yes on everything. | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity | | | Last edited: by reybr |
