You need to follow the rules specified above to the letter, or your contribution will be declined. You also need to specifiy your source of information, which should be mainly the DVD, apart from a few tiny details, like release dates. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

When you create a new profile in your local database (for a dvd that does not yet exist in the online one) or makes changes to an existing one, you can contribute to building the online DVD by sending this new information over to Invelos. This is what we call the "Contributions".
If you are contribution a new profile, it will be automatically accepted as long as it follows the contribution rules. If you contribute a modified profile then it goes through a voting system where other people who have that in their collection (only premium users I think) can review your contribution and vote on it. After a few days, someone at IVS will review your contribution and either accept or decline it. If it is accepted, it will be added to the online db and be made available for download to all the users. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

| Posted: | | | | Note: When you make a Contribution, make sure you included notes to show where the info came from. Cast and Crew always from Credits Run time/Audio/Video formats: Either from rear cover, or from Movie - Cover can be wrong SRP: From reconised retailers (including DVD company) NOT the current price Also, if when you are checking the credits or back cover overview, if there is a spellng mistake, that is how you must show it. Read the rules for more info - they can be a pain, but the online database needs to be a "fixed point" Rules are HereEnjoy | | | Signature? Thank you What nobody has pointed out is that this is a user built database, so all the information you download for a profile is a C'ontribution' a user like yourself has made. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Paul: Sometimes I think we are al a bit befuddled by some questions raised, after all there are numerous references to this being a user-built database scattered throughout the site. Including this one from the Products Page "The best way to catalog your DVD addiction, DVD Profiler is built on a dynamic user-contributed database that's always up to date!" Many of us had far fewer than 250 when we came across DVD Profiler. It is only after you get ahold of this wonderful software that your addiction REALLY takes hold and you start buying them like crazy |

| Posted: | | | | Well in the old version there was a shopping feature which I found most useful, but is no longer available. I’m surprised. I purchased many DVDs using the software’s “ability” to reach out and find various sources to order on-line.

| Posted: | | | | Will the shopping feature "Price Finder" be brought over from version 2? do you think?
If not, way not? Wasn't this a great feature? Let the net's do the finger's walking, and pick th best priced DVDs from various on-line sources?
I miss that in vs 3. |
